I think we should establish very close ties to the French to help build our military and its' industries. France successfully helped United States early in their independence up to WW1 to grow into the military power they are, perhaps we can rely on them too to develop ours.

We got wind about Rafale, F15 EX, for the Air Force then we got TAI ANKA and TB2 BAYRAKTAR, there is also FREMM Frigate and Mitsubishi Mogami class, also Advance model of Scorpene class

It is something i can only dreamed about a decade ago....

Those FREMM and Mogami class is already good enough as fleets escort, if you want heavier just trying to get those Arleigh Burke class or maybe Chinese Type 052D class Destroyer

Bakamla RI Bahas Kerjasama dengan JICA

Tokyo, 25 Februari 2023 (Bakamla RI/Indonesian Coast Guard) --- Kepala Bakamla RI Laksdya TNI Dr.Aan Kurnia bertemu dengan Senior Vice President Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mr. Keiichiro Nakazawa di Kantor JICA, Tokyo, Kemarin.

Kepala Bakamla RI Laksdya TNI Dr. Aan Kurnia dalam pembukaannya mengapresiasi dukungan JICA dalam mendukung kerjasama Bakamla RI dan Japan Coast Guard (JCG) pada khususnya dan pemerintah RI dan jepang pada umumnya.

Perlu diketahui bahwa JICA adalah agensi pemerintah Jepang untuk membantu pembangunan negara-negara berkembang. Lembaga ini berada di bawah Departemen Luar Negeri dan didirikan pada Agustus 1974. Lembaga ini juga dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kerja sama internasional antara Jepang dengan negara-negara lain.

Pertemuan yang dilaksanakan dalam suasana bersahabat ini membahas tentang rencana hibah (grant agreement) 1 (satu) kapal patroli dalam rangka penguatan kapasitas dan kapabilitas patroli penegakan hukum Bakamla RI.

Mr. Keiichiro menyampaikan bahwa dalam waktu dekat akan dilaksanakan feasibility study sebagai bagian dari program hibah. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menilai kemampuan Bakamla dalam menggunakan dan memelihara kapal patroli baru berukuran 80 meter sehingga dapat berfungsi secara optimal mendukung penguatan Bakamla RI

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Laksdya TNI Dr. Aan Kurnia juga mendorong dukungan JICA terkait dengan usulan pelibatan personel Bakamla RI dalam beragam short course yang merupakan bagian dari peningkatan kapasitas dan kapabilitas SDM melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan.

JICA sependapat dan akan mendiskusikan lebih lanjut tentang usulan Bakamla dengan counterpart strategicnya yaitu JCG.(Humas Bakamla RI)

I don't hate Prabowo on personal level, but I simply cannot support one of the key conspirator in the 98 tragedy, his role then made me swore to never vote him in election ever.

Indonesian Air Force has sizeable and growing C130 fleets, i am quite interested about the feasibility of Indonesia to acquired the US Made system Rapid Dragon (Lockheed Martin), as those system able to let our C130 fleets to acts as impromptu Bomber, those Rapid Dragon is able to launch not only JASSM but also JDAM ER and Hammer (in which still within Indonesia range to acquired). Stand off capability should be the current and future theme in modern warfare though
