Sudan
Both sides deserves no backing from democratic states. Burhan is relatively same as the past dictator, Omar al Bashir, that think he is a hammer and other as nails, forget about democracy. Dagalo is also same as him, just he wants to topple Burhan now. Foreign involvements? countries like UAE that prefer more to dictatorship, for this case MBZ’s brother, the Manchester City’s Mansour close to Dagalo, including Haftar and diduga also Prighozin. Burhan with his friend during certain military education, El-Sisi of Egypt, Israel also before just because Israel need recognition.
The only normal way to stop the violence is by UN intervention or if UNSC not bringing any resolution because certain countries that has veto rights stop the resolution, minimum, western countries mediating the both sides for ceasefire like day(s) ago for 72 hours even-though violated, just to lessen the violence at least.
The most drastic response is US as usual, intervene and take Khartoum, put democracy there and push both the Dagalo’s and Burhan’s forces far from Sudan’s center of gravity. Iraq 2.0 if that happen. All the excess are worth it if compared with what Iraq has now, notably Islamic State is smaller now.
Democracy is minimum, eventhough flawed. God like top–down one man dictatorship is an open air prison. People are people, they have rights to speak and participates fully, not a chair or desk that just menggeletak. They have rights to decide, not to be shot just because they are against the ruler that ‘larping as what people believe as God’.
