The statement above clearly indicated that the decision on the LCS remained elusive and unlikely to be resolved soon. As I had stated in that post, clearly what is dragging the issue is the outcome of the project – which remained elusive despite what has been said. There is no guarantee that the LCS will be completed at all, despite the funding. The indecision on restarting the project is also making the target date for the first LCS to be delivered to the RMN in 2025, almost unachievable now.

Still can be used as shore based ship simulator / ground based SAM (stationary) / monument.

Bingung. Kasus kurangnya senjata gini akibat TNI yg ga minta ke MoD akhirnya MoD ga belikan atau TNI sudah minta tapi MoD yg ga belikan entah akibat kurang uang atau apa?

Sailors, or at least non-Marine. Marines have their own bases, with "Pasmar" written on them. While a Lanal is usually mostly manned by non-combat capable AL units. Some are located in a bit unusual places, such as my friend who was stationed in Malang, Navy base in a freakin plateau?

I think bad management of budget and equipment has more to do with it, than no budget. Because obviously this Lanal is located in an obscure place away from central command. You cannot expect bases to equip the soldiers with their own budget, it will never be enough. As you can see, the personnel themselves wear new uniforms, meaning when it comes to the central command effort the result is good. But then it is in some part indeed the regional bases' fault that they cannot afford anything for equipment, but also that of the central command as they fail to distribute equipment to these bases.

BRIN akan luncurkan Satelit Lapan A-4 akhir 2022​

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Organisasi Riset Penerbangan dan Antariksa Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) akan meluncurkan satelit Lapan A-4 akhir 2022, yang dapat melakukan pemantauan bumi baik untuk sumber daya alam maupun kondisi lingkungan hingga analisis bencana dan pencurian ikan.

"Akhir tahun ini kami rencananya akan meluncurkan satelit Lapan A-4," kata Kepala Organisasi Riset Penerbangan dan Antariksa (OR PA) BRIN Robertus Heru Triharjanto dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima ANTARA di Jakarta, Senin.

Pengembangan satelit yang sepenuhnya di buat di Indonesia tersebut saat ini sedang dalam tahap penyelesaian dan pengujian komponen-komponennya.

Satelit Lapan-A4 merupakan pembaharuan dan penyempurnaan dari satelit Lapan-A3/Lapan-IPB yang diluncurkan pada 22 Juni 2016.

Satelit generasi keempat tersebut memiliki misi untuk pengamatan bumi baik lingkungan maupun sumber daya alam menggunakan imager optik.

Misi lain dari Lapan-A4 adalah pemantauan lalu lintas maritim menggunakan sistem identifikasi otomatis (automatic identification system) yang mampu merekam jutaan data kapal secara global per hari.

Satelit tersebut juga dapat membawa muatan magnetometer. Lapan-A4 dirancang dengan konfigurasi yang terdiri dari deployable panel dan antena mistar yang dapat ditekuk.

Selain fokus pada pengembangan satelit, Organisasi Riset (OR) Penerbangan dan Antariksa juga berfokus pada pengembangan pesawat N219 dengan platform amfibi, yang bekerja sama dengan PT Dirgantara Indonesia.

OR tersebut juga melakukan pengembangan metodologi-metodologi dari teknologi penginderaan untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatannya, pengembangan teknologi roket yang utamanya berfokus pada roket pertahanan, serta pengamatan matahari yang bisa berdampak di bumi.

1500 weapon system already lost and there is still backlog on the count because there is several massive attack against Russian armor column happened since yesterday. They already losing 240 MBT, that's number is large enough to form two armored brigade and coupled them with another two hundreds IFV they are already losing a full sized armored division, and they still have a lot of spare number!!

I don't believe China doesn't prepared for large show down against western allies in this region. Their war preparation is much more complete and complex, their conventional Arsenal already surpassed Russian in technology and number, their research on new frontier technology such as swarm drone attacks is more mature even compared to the US. They are more formidable foe even for behemot like US.

Chinook? There's no DSCA of it for Indonesia unlike Osprey. So MoD never seriously asked US in the first place. Just window shopping.

So what about helicopter plans in general? surely there arent enough of these Apaches either
