I know that many countries like Kenya, Lebanon, Sri Lanka according to NYT yearning for benevolent dictator like Lee Kuan Yew. The question is, are those people really put trust to individual that much? Integrity is given, not taken for granted with no string attached by put so much trust on a leader.

Singapore Adds F-35As To Expand Its Stealth Fighter Fleet

After committing to STOVL F-35Bs, Singapore will now buy conventional takeoff and landing F-35As as part of its modernization drive.

3. “Going further down the road, Singapore could explore Collaborative Combat Air and would probably be keen to study the ongoing programs in Australia and the United States,” Choo contends. “This will certainly help as the city-state grapples with declining birthrates while providing combat mass.”
