That's what I get using wifi with a Huawei MateBook D15 2020.

However with my other configuration this is what I get generally ;

I pay €49.99/month for 10 gbps in download and 700 mbps in upload. The €49 also includes a landline,TV services and Netflix + Amazon prime for free, quite a good deal for me.

Living the life in l'hexagone. TGV heritage brought to networking.

I still have some of my old french language textbooks....back in those days covering TGV reseau, they also talk about the first phone based terminal system that France developed in 80s I think (Minitel).

We have come long way since haha...but seems especially France, 10 Gbps, wtf lmao.

Damn dude, what do you need that for if i may ask? Thats fiber i assume.
My 1gb network is already getting bottlenecked by old HDD's and scratching on the capacity limit of conventional SSD's.
My record during download was somewhere around 70-80 mb/s from origin servers, downloaded 70gb BF4 in 10 mins or so.

I think thats generic, mine also says faster than 99%.
We dont have 10 gbit offered yet, swisscom was gonna launch it in march but got postponed due to corona.
But good thing is the population centers already have Fiber for the most part now rural places are being built.

Blue - available
Orange - being built
Purple - planned.

Edit: Wait, it says 10 gbit is available in my street. :p

Network provider probably brought the hardware potential for it...but did you fork out the extra moolah for a new faster plan?

(I'm operating under assumption of how they screw us here in great white north, maybe you euros have it all fancy auto-upgraded without having to give an extra dime...but it takes some time?)

*Garbled French bureaucracy noises*

We directly got the 10gbps in our area, maybe because the fiber deployment was quite recent.. (~1 year) However I've read others had to connect a module to their internet box which the ISP provided and the ISP had to make some quick configurations to the local fiber network so they could get the 10gbps instead of 1gbps,of course with no extra cost. You should probably look at it. @xenon5434

Of course to get up to 10gbps you must get an optimal setup with a 10gb network card etc... To be honest the maximum I've seen was 8gbps.

Guess I should complain to them, where are my extra 3gbps,lel.

My own connection at home is 100/35 Coax. I pay 219 DKK a month. I don't need higher speed atm, and I try to keep the price down.

My work just got a new connection.

You’re right. Passing to 10 gb from 1 gb requires hardware upgrades to use with its full potential which will be quite expensive.

No i made a new subscription for it once fiber was available. I made the speed test multiple times and never went above 900 something, i thought thats how 10 gbit is being calculated.
I dont believe in a scam either though its really strange.

Just call and ask them maybe...they probably have this as FAQ response already, switzerland is an efficient clockwork country right? :p
