Body C705 with, software, hardware, and control system developed jointly with Kongsberg, how is that sound??
Pleasing to the ears, absolutely kimochi.

Maybe they can make the body angled and not round, lets make NSM KW with the help of the ORI manufacturer.

If there is such talk about ToT with them, is it related to kri golok and the rumour about having lots of FAC?

Then for the next gen fighter that we will get in the future what do you think we should get?

Order more KFX and upgrade the previous block 1?

Maybe also getting FCAS?
I've always thought that our current fighter procurement as a stop gap - yes, even the Rafale and F-15ID - until we can at least start developing our own whether it will be based on KF-21 or something else which will be entirely new.

And, no, I don't mean that it will be "100% KAB" bullshit since we will probably still have to depend on foreign sources for the engines, some sensors and weapons.

Anyway, either FCAS or - perhaps in the next few years after we finished our collaboration with SK for the KF-21 - TFX can be a good choice.

That's still in the future.... reserve the question for decades later.

Just focusing to get the number of legacy platform as soon as possible and as many as possible, prepare the funding for maintenance and repair, focusing to train the crew and pilots, focusing to increasing the security in the base, network system and so on.
What we chose now will decide the future, if we buy F15EX right now and then after that we also buy F35 I think it will be a waste of money, better go straight for F35.

No lah, we are reverse engineering it, hopefully with Kongsberg help. That's why we bought their system
It seems that NSM will be chosen to equip our new frigate and become the mainstream AShM in our ship, lets pit those company against each other whoever win will be chosen to supply missile for our frigate and FAC, but they need to help us develop our missile.

Eh? Kongsberg made the NSM though.

Uuuum... elang hitam?
Its officially stated performance is still lower than CH-4. So unless it's real performance is being kept secret, there are still a lot of homeworks for us to catch up.

Well its our first MALE UAV after all, it still can be improved or we can come up with better design in the future.

F35 and F15 complement each other

And again, are you sure pushing US more will make them give us F35? Or ended up with not both?

And this is one of the reason why we must give a lot more breathing room for our private defense companies as I often mentioned here. As long as they're still being keep at arm's length to serve only as suppliers for our defense SOEs, they can't grow their own potentials.

You do know that there are several advanced UAV concepts from our private companies, right?

"If you want our ASTER, take exocet too."
- MBDA, maybe.
Remember, 🇮🇱 still push to open both market and diplomatic relation with 🇮🇩.

And I highly doubtfull if 🇫🇷 will deny any $ offer. Their Aster isn't only option available at the market.

Now that's a smart move. So NSM for our future ship standard missile.
Kongsberg need to do more maneuver to enter Indonesian market, won't be easy to compete against MBDA(exocet) product here.

I am okay if we keep using exocet, unless...

If we count Rafale and F-15ID as 4.5 gen, what if in the future we skip the 5 gen and go straight to 5.5/6?

Is there any Indonesian member here that wish the F15ID deal won't materialized, because want F35 instead?

Me: hm.... tough choice.

After Rafales, FREMMs, AH140, NSM, Scorpene, etc, I'm really eager now to get more European solutions than the U.S.

Let's just keep U.S. products like F-15ID for balancing act only as we still very much need their market.

Really interested to see what would be the European paths after Rafales/Eurofighters era ends.

Anyway, there's another path through KF-21 (Block-3?) if we really want 5th gen.
