The Turkish Tiger: Indonesia’s Kaplan MT Tanks

If it's truly aluminum, then its durability against mine explosion when Pindad tested it was quite an achievement. It's aluminum. Welded and milled.
I'm not sure if those retrofitted AMX-13 hulls are completely new though. They might've just taken out the frontal lower part and replaced it with a flat, welded section, but unless they publicized this themselves, I don't think we'll ever know for sure.Turns out the AMX-13 Retrofit is called Yonkav 2 (not official name). Also, the writer of the article said it can be seen as a new tank since the hull is new.
Only the rear part of the hull and the roadwheels are still part of the original AMX-13, the front hull modified to accept new engine & transmission, while the drivetrain, suspension, whole turret with it's fire control and gun are replaced.Turns out the AMX-13 Retrofit is called Yonkav 2 (not official name). it is very good righte they know their own home, culture, language, custom also environment condisiton, weather etc even maybe some "hidden gem and Instagram able place" eh kidding. But this own region knowledge for locals incomparable to outsider. But... what I concerned is the like Teritorijalna Odbrane (TO) of Yugoslavia. They are trained, known their own region and republics, good equipment, highly motivated to defense their own homeland, very know abou every inch their land but... when chaos, political turbulance happen the central JNA army is overwhelmed by them. like TO became a separtis republics armed forcesIn one sense, moving back the troops to base them in their own home provinces may proves beneficial for their respective regional defense, especially since they will surely know their own 'turf' better compared to, for example, a Jakartan who got himself based in Merauke. However, I still think that some rotations or "tour of duty" are still needed to spread the knowledge among some, if not all troops.
On the other hand, especially regarding the soldiers' welfare, I still feel that it's still too much to ask that each and every one of our grunts won't have to think that spending 1.7 million IDR is something akin to choose between feeding their family or letting them starve for some shiny new uniforms anymore. This is especially true if the whole of our military budget and its detailed allocations are still beyond reach of our anti-corruption commission.
if Marine get more money to buy them. second hand AAV maybe good for stopgap.there's a pretty ample space between the outer section and the main hull monocoque/unibody, definitely have a big potential to installed an anti HEAT/Shaped Charge modular armor.

let's hope the ZAHA next for marine corps.
Unsure about the ratios (that ratio would rather govern the profit shares) but that would be proportional to their investments.Joint as in 50:50 ownership of the IP?
Lol. Someone removed my watermark from my above photo. It should have j/a/a/s watermark.
Never let Wargaming know this tank existed, they will make Tier 8 premium tank on their store.Turns out the AMX-13 Retrofit is called Yonkav 2 (not official name). Also, the writer of the article said it can be seen as a new tank since the hull is new.The Turkish Tiger: Indonesia’s Kaplan MT Tanks

how about Turkey Army? will it be using it as M48 replacement? Both of the parties own the platforms.
IIRC Turkey and Indonesia will have different marketing region, Indonesia : Asia (and America I think), Turkey : Europe and Africa.and if they have shared the marketing regions
they haven't settled with the requirements or if they did they are going to announce it soon. Ismail Demir's statement on domestic turret is an indication too.how about Turkey Army? will it be using it as M48 replacement?
That was once rumored but nothing came out from there (probably just rumors as a result of delegates meeting), Poland goes with British, Czechs have got Israeli missiles. And may ask regarding Turkey Hisar SAM, Are there any joint development with Czech gov?
Is there such concrete plan?First they need to develop a turret probably both for 105-120
Why would FNSS gave up from the Asian market while having an established partner in Malaysia, considering they are likely to be a user?IIRC Turkey and Indonesia will have different marketing region, Indonesia : Asia (and America I think), Turkey : Europe and Africa.
Not sure if its just a rumour or legit news.
Ismail Demir (President of defense industry presidency) has just announced it today, a domestic (Turkish) turret will be developed for Kaplan, that wasn't just for exports. Is there such concrete plan?
Thanks for the infos,Czechs have got Israeli missiles.
The launcher, carrier and CC units are Mercedes 6x6 trucks for the Hisar series. Thanks for the infos,
because quite surprised there is a rumour like some user posted here
similiar like HISAR SAM on Tatra Platformmilitary_buzz on Instagram: "Jadi yg ditawarkan CSG adalah? #makinbingung #membingungkan #pertahananudara #pertahanan"

Maybe Turkey still get involved to a certain degree during production(produce some parts), although the marketing in Asia will be Indonesian responsibilities. Why would FNSS gave up from the Asian market while having an established partner in Malaysia, considering they are likely to be a user?
And while possible future orders %80+ from the Asia for such a medium weight platform, to be honest i see no hope against Germans in the Europe and Africa is like "give me precious 4x4s and 6x6s"?
I mean it is pointless to discuss this or make comments on this as long as the partnership continues. Even if FNSS wins a bid they will share an important portion of the work-load with Pindad.
their sabrah yet to make an appearance...Maybe Turkey still get involved to a certain degree during production(produce some parts), although the marketing in Asia will be Indonesian responsibilities.
For example is Philippines medium tank acquisition, Indonesia tried to compete but lost.
