This is certainly something new for me: Mogami-class (JS Kumano) aft access door to launch and recover RHIB and other small boats / Unmanned vessels.

The FFM stands for frigate and minesweepers all in one form. The USV will be used for anti sub and anti mining purpose.

This ships really excels in the underwater domain. That's what the JMSDF intend this ship to do.

Imo, divest all Parchims and legacy hull, maybe the savings from maintaining those could help the financing on new frigate.

We would likely see these frigates in the next decade or so ......

And delegate patrol duty fully to other agencies like Bakamla. That way they can focus their operational budget, crews, logistics on bigger ships.

Divest all 14 Parchim
Divest the remaining non-modernized Fatahillah FF
Divest all 5 Van Speijk FFG
Divest all 3 Badik FAC
Transfer policing duties to Bakamla/Polair or whatever
Relegate the remaining U-209/1300 to training duties
The money saved from upkeep and operationalization of those dinosaurs could be used to help ease the burden on finance of :
Modernizing all 3 F2000 FFG with sensors and armament close to the Σ class frigate
Prepare for Diponegoro class MLU
Invest in all the planned major surface combatants (2 AH140, 6 FREMM, 4 Mogami ?? etc)
Invest in all planned submarines
Stock-up munitions
Taking into account the recent navy re-organization and their stated goals towards rebalancing all 3 fleets with uniform capability (no more favoritism towards one articular fleet ).

Each Koarmada should have an equally strong independent surface combatants division, independent submarine division and each with an equally capable air wing, equally capable sealift command.

it's main formation is something like this:

Koarmada 1 :
  • 1 AH 140 (Multirole *AAW)
  • 2 FREMM Bergamini (Multirole *ASW)
  • 1 F2000 (Multirole)
  • 2 Maestrale (Multirole *ASW)
  • 2 KCR 60
  • 2 SSK
Koarmada 2 :
  • 1 AH 140 (Multirole *AAW)
  • 2 FREMM Bergamini (Multirole *ASW)
  • 2 Σ 10514 (Multirole)
  • 2 F2000 (Multirole)
  • 2 KCR 60
  • 2 SSK
Koarmada 3 :
  • 2 FREMM Bergamini (Multirole *ASW)
  • 4 Σ9013 corvette (multirole)
  • 2 modernized Fatahillah FF
  • 2KCR 60
  • 2 SSK
Each fleet will be able to defend itself using its own existing asset if need be, nowadays not all fleet enjoy the same capability, most of the navy best units are in the 2nd fleet Surabaya and the other 2 fleet will be dependent on fleet escort from the 2nd fleet asset.

And if the situation necessitate jointness, all 3 fleets could be merged into a single fleet command (KOARMADA RI)

but that's just personal opinion.

he is always doing so, don't know what he is trying to portray lately

if shit happen (god forbid) those can be revived again with some summoning rituals

Marines need working amphibious APC, more lethal individual firepower at platoon level (ATGM, RPG's and Manpads), more secure comms and support tools (NVG, thermal scopes, mobile jammer and GPS devices and so on)

The operational cost and logistics for gas turbines as the main engines that Maestrale have will go through the roof. And there's also the rumored Pohang class.

it just the operational cost increasing consideration is still need time until the said assets already come and operational. Meanwhile the Navy is starting to retired their old assets already and itching to retire those Van Speijk class and the rest of East German old stocks

Then tell me, its better to have wheeled or tracked ?

Last time marine has wheeled it was BTR - 82 (I don't know how the fate of BTR - 4 they say it was too dangerous to employ while the sea isn't calm)

oh yes, please don't say NVG, even at best marine only Equipped with SS1 iron sight. Although ATGM and so on is mandatory, i hope marine and all branch of armed forces give ballistic vest Lv 3/4, and NVG, atleast if they cant provide Scope, pelase buy them wit AN/PEQ

Zaha vs AAV7 which one do u personally prefer?

AAV7, second hand grants one if refurbished is already enough for our current needs.

The money should be allocated to get more individual equipment of our Marines and upgrade them into another level and to acquire more artillery and air defense system to support them, with only around 18 pieces of 105mm howitzer and around 20's of 122mm caliber MLRS is very lacking, they need more of them. Also, those 37 mm AA gun need replacement ASAP, bought MANPADS like Piorun or the likes is preferable for now if they don't have money for shiny items like Korkut and the likes.
