Guys what do think about this take:
EU + The US want to create a new state between Iraq and Syria to secure Gas+Oil coming from the Gulf.

The European peoples never stop dreaming about causing trouble in the brown mans lands, while creating endless narratives about the evil Muslim.

They wanted this to happen to Turkey originally.

But what they want depends on what we are willing to give.

We need to be prgamatic from now on.

Enough with this bs fantasy of pan turkism, pan turanism or united ummah.

All about political interests. Also dont allow the Palestinians, Pakistanis or Turkic peoples and the Arabs to play their ideology cards.

Lets not forget how the Gaguz Turks celebrated the Soviet victory with their leader singing some Soviet song infront of people.

Time to leave this bs from now on.

If people want to condemn Turkiye well fck them.

Political interests should never go with emotions.

Just like donald trump said we are being taken advantage.

We have Palestinians, Pakistanis and Azerbaijanis taking advantage of us.

I say enough is enough.

Yes, i said this months ago. We have more important business around us (Aegean, EastMed, Syria, Iraq) than all those agendas of others (Kashmir, Palestine etc).

it doesn't really matter - if you believe in God or if you are a Muslim - but what was written was written.
it was said that there will be a major war between a lot of groups in nowadays turkey...
it is up to you if you think that might come true in the future...
if you think you could witness this in your lifetime -
the outcome would be devastating for turkey - but not just for us;
let them be received with dues as we thunder down - may they expect something they never dreamed of.
something that anchors us in history, like our ancestors.
and again, it will be: YA ISTIKLAL YA ÖLÜM.

Our ancestors didn't sit on their arses waiting for Allah to do his magic thing.

The most basic thing any Turk can do is learn his history and learn the history of his rivals. That way the Turk reduces the ability of his enemies deceiving and manipulating him.

In this harsh and difficult times, we needed a leader like Abdulhamid II, or Murat V, or Sulaiman the Magnificant.

Diplomatic like an eel, smart like a fox, hard as a wintertree. The 'Red Sultan' would have played the US against Russia, China against India, Germany against France and Israel against the UK.

Abdulhamid II would eat Biden, Putin, Macron, Sisi, Bennet, Mitsotakis, Soros, Gates, Schwab, Modi, Musk and Xi Jinping raw with his Sherlock Holmes-tactics and intelligence chess-brain.

Erdogan doesnt even know how to play chess.

Well to be honest his successors werent really better.

Still credit him for being successful in making the newly balkan countries too preoccupied with each other. He did prevent the balkan countries from starting a balkan war against the empire.

He did take a pragmatic approach to keeping his empire intact even avoiding war for 15 years.

No doubt there are mistakes and stupid approaches he took which costed the empire in the long run. But nothing wrong in giving a little credit.

Ottoman Empire was already losing territory before he even came to power not even Abdulhamid II or the CUP could prevent land being lost. Either losing it to rebellions, wars and colonialism.

Age of nationalism it was getting harder for multi diverse empires to keep their empires intact.

Looking at his results, guy seemed like a total disaster. I mean just one of his failures is enough to bring down leaders, he had so so many.

Abdulhamid II ruled too long and did not prepare a proper successor instead we got even a bigger shitshow.

Because the guys who brought Abdulhamid II were too busy fighting each other which led to Jemal, Enver and Talaat taking control in 1913.

Im not a abdulhamid II fanboy really but I do acknowledge the good he did while acknowledging the bad he did too.

At the end of the day he accepted the empire was collapsing no matter how hard you tried it was falling down.

I dont like the comparsions between abdulhamid ii or erdogan. Abdulhamid II had a much bigger and tougher task in trying to run a empire thats on the brink of collapse.

As much as I like Sultan Abdulaziz he bankrupted the empire.

Sultan Mahmud II only good thing was destroying the Jannisaries well his modernisation and secular reforms did bring back the empire he also suffered lots of defeats and even nearly lost his empire to his own province.

He even lost to the Qajars which is pretty embarassing. But in Ww1 the Ottomans basically ran wild in Iran while the Qajars did nothing about it lol

Due to Iran being a playground in Ww1 between the Ottomans and the British/Russians would lead to Reza Shah doing a coup and the Pahlavi dynasty coming in control. Basically centuries of Turkic rule came to an end. Qajars were descended from Oghuz Turks.

Do not underestimate Zevi’s Kabbalah, the Shabbetai (or the alliance behind Young Turks) that had always stood in opposition to Abdulhamit!

Abdulhamit II was a mediocre ruler. He was not a magnificent ruler AKP voters like to believe he had many shortcomings and failings and he has some success stories. The empire lost territory as big as 2x Turkiye in his rule. He was also not as evil as CHP voters portray him. He tried his best to keep together a crumbling empire but he wasn't a man of adequate caliber. Ottoman empire needed another Fatih Sultan Mehmed(Mehmed II the Conqueror) to keep things together he was certainly not a man of that caliber. Empire kept declining during his rule.

Enver, Cemal, and Talat took over the empire as the last hurrah and thought they might be able to save the empire with a big gamble as there was nothing else to do but they didn't know that they were not the men meant to play the hand they were dealt with similar to their predecessor Abdulhamit II. Every experienced statesman knew that the dying sick man was beyond saving. Big powers agreed to partition the lands of the empire by the late 1800s. Every big power of the time turned down the Ottoman offer of alliance before the WW1. Ottomans were kept alive by the grace of Great Britain big time and when the GB understood Ottoman Empire can't be kept alive artificially, GB thought it is better to split it on its term than the others. Ottomans did everything to side and participate in the WWI on the side of the Entente but were turned down. Ottomans then tried to replace Great Britain with Germany to cling to life. Even Germany was hesitant at first to ally with Ottoman Empire as they thought Ottoman empire will be a liability.
