If you will be able to deploy plenty of them then their locations will not matter all that much. But when you only have a few of them you don't want their locations to be known.

Russian AD systems and weaponry are trash and the F-35 is a weapon I would choose over the S400 all day every day... Yet Turkey would have gotten kicked out of the F-35 program no matter what. If it wasn't the S-400 it would have been kicked out for something else- Syria, East Med, Karabakh, Armenian Genocide, Genocide on Kurds, Rule of law, Dictatorship, bees dying off due to climate change and pollution... and whatever other stupid reason you can think of. The S-400 purchase was just the silly excuse Americans waited for. Unfortunately Turkey is being run by Imbeciles so it is easy for Americans to do whatever they want while Turks end up with a finger up their ass.

AKP's fault is that they gave this card into the hands of our enemies with their stupid decision which also brought Turkey losses worth TENS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. We not only paid Russia 2,5 billion USD for a trash system but also lost over a billion dollars for the jets we already paid for but never received. We can include the 10 billion USD of lost revenues we would have gotten out of building parts for the Program plus the tens of billions we lost due to getting sanctioned and Turkish currency losing value which brought more economic problems to the country.

Germany is partner of 6th gen fighter program with France. France do NOT allow access even full openness to many systems in project
Therefor as SAMP-T is France own project I do not see how Turkiye will given "full openness" ?!?

I remember before the s400 they actually wanted the Chinese deal, it was the cheapest and the Chinese offered full tech transfer. The Americans threatened Turkey that they would blacklist any Turkish company that cooperates with the chinese company. Then all of the sudden AK party said there were issues with the chinese deal and were no longer pursuing it.

Having contacted with Macron a couple of dozens times Erdoğan should know what can be possible with France with all of the implications of their decisions. Such a deal is never to be seen as a one time interaction.
