Will we have a datalink capable version of Sungur?
Sungur-ER will have the data-link capability. It is also considered for Sungur but unlikely at least for the first block. The thermal sight and IIR seeker of Sungur have good performance. Sungur is also fully integrated into the HERIKKS network. It is like terminal engagement starts with the launch of the missile so there is little need for a further data-link capability. I still want to see the data link for the vehicle-mounted version of Sungur. Some stinger versions have data-link capability but stinger has a lower-performing IR seeker. The range of the stinger extended as the year passes but the seeker is mostly the same and its acquisition range somewhat fell short compared to its range so they solve this with data-link capability.

🧐🤨😒No no no . They don't have ... İt's not the data link that you think. Such data link connection, pedestal mounted SUNGUR already have.

Not: İngilizcesini ekleyeceğim

The FIM-92 K missile has a slightly different port configuration to accept electricity and cooling from the vehicle launcher as opposed to a shoulder launcher.

Stinger-K's data link is not for updating just for cueing but someone thinks it is "Command to line of sight ".

Sungur already has such a capability AFAIK.

And K variant is vehicle launched version, thus requires a mission computer that computes the randezvous point, uploads the coordinates after the launch thus called 'lock-on after launch' not 'fire and update'. You literally blind-shoot a missile, broadcast coordinates that is possibly transfered within the first 1 km.

To use it on manpads that is not practical; manpads are meant to he simple to use, not requiring a computer or complicated. Such complicated stuff may be installed on pedestal launched or vehicle launched platforms.

seems range and G limit is another aspect that makes Sungur attractive.
The weight for the Mistral is way off. It only shows the weight of the missile but the Mistral needs a whole station carried around with it (needs 2 people). It's over 40kg all together. Even without the station, the launcher optics alone add another 5kg on top of the missile weight. Sungur doesn't need all that crap and the system weight is MUCH lighter.

Fuselage of SIPER seems to me different from Hisar. SIPER looks like PAC-3 and slim.
It is said several times that siper block 0 is booster added version of hisar RF.
Other missile in the infographic is original siper missiles with ranges up to 150 km.
We haven't seen any fire video of this missiles yet except block 0 one.

For this reason siper blk 0 is a can be named hisar-U more logically just because he usa hisar-rf misille in the bassis.

But siper blok 1 is a diffrent missile he have diffrent diameter, form and guidance and also maybe diffrent thruster types. So he could be named siper block 1 more correctly

Russia is trying to stir things up before Turkiye's visit to the USA for F16s.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov: "Russia and Turkiye are continuing negotiations for the delivery of a new batch of S-400."

The S-400 deal must be the dumbest defense procurement we have ever made. It cost us so much and we gained virtually nothing from it, zilch.

The country who is famous for destroying Russian SAM systems is paying huge amounts of money to buy them. Fate loves irony, indeed.
