The critical mistake was joining the syrian civil war on the side of the americans. Turkey should have played it the way they played Ukraine, yeah we support the rebels but we are also not at total war with Assad. That way no matter what happens Turkey cannot get screwed. But once Turkey went all in on the rebel side like making stupid statements like drinking tea in damascus or praying in some mosque, they should have been balanced about it.
Anyway they make that critical mistake. The next mistake is not having a plan, the war went on for many years before even the americans or russians entrenched themselves, what was erdogan and ak party? They were next to nothing, thats what they were doing. Actually they were smuggling iranian gold, the same iran that was propping up assad.

The situation is so bad that Turkey can see the ypg under the protection of Russia, America, Assad and Iran as well their gulf backers making their way towards the med coast and if the ypg got access to the med coast, the americans with their support could turn them into a legitimate state.
While this happening the Russians are also sending their jets into Turkey to threaten us and intimidate us not to enter. Are politics have been played so bad that facing war against Russia is safer then not to do anything, so the yet gets downed.
After this every movement into syria has come as a last resort, everytime the operation gets going erdogan shuts it down quickly before it can achieve its objectives.
The dumb cycle of events are happening of the sea of islands. greeks are arming them, the americans are moving in. Meanwhile lots of barking, lots of dummy talk like a war wouldnt last moer then 4 days etc. The exact same failure that occurred in syria is occuring of the aegean.

Anyway long story short, you hit the Russian held positions in syria and you don't wait. Thats what you do right now. Tell the Russians we are not tolerating their support and protection of YPG along our border. They have 48hrs to leave, if at any moment it looks like they are trying to switch american troops in their place you move instantly.
And you imply to the Russian side that if they violent against us our entire military support will be thrown behind Ukraine.
Zelensky a comedian who dresses up as a woman has shown himself to have bigger balls and far more smarts then erdogan.
