I do think they are worth every dime and Penny, i mean those Ex RAF Hercules as most of them are C-130J 30 (extended Fuselage variant) and not too old airframe, as they are only coming in 1998/1999. Well compared to the Australian old guys....
DESA sales brochure 2021, not only they are selling C-130J-30 but also E-3D AEWC, Type-23 Class Frigates and so on

C130j and maybe the Duke class is still worthy, but the sentry is a no to me. Better get a newly build system

Not related but interesting. Shahanshah’s Iran could be one of the early F-16 user which they were ordered it before the Shah was toppled in 1979.

Some aircrafts that were meant for Iran were went for Israeli orders. The aircrafts now are or were for sale that the Croatian bought 12 of it if i remember correctly.

Well that's acceptable, maximisizing the use of our F-16s and increasing the number of Super Hercules though i was expecting more.

From what I am know he is still insisting on to get the F35 fighter, during later talk he is expected to get the green light soon, including the secretary of defense himself would like to support such Sales to Indonesia and even has got the nod from president himself to get whatever the best on the table in which for any Air Force member is the F35.

That's why he is not placing new order for Viper, instead get the long leg Boeing F15 EX capable for interdiction mission over long water body in which some of Air Force giving him advice to get the move, while waiting for lobbying to get the green light for F35. For a while to upgrade the existed F-16 fleets is more reasonable.

F-35 is the ultimate afterall, i know 5th generation fighter is the goal of everyone. I suppose F-35A version and probably 1 or 2 Squadrons but i already satisfy we're going to optimise the use of F-16s and adding more than just 5 C-130J-30

To be fair, such fuel comparison is not need to be mention, Boeing Eagle is double engine fighter in which needed more to do so, while Falcon is single engine. What you need to know is how much effective they can execute the perceived mission and threat assessment. Many air force combined high and low or suited the complexity of challenge they had as the reason before making arms procurement.

Btw, Jakarta itself had Tangled issue about boramae fighter, as they would results in fourth + generation fighter in which still under powered compared to the F15 EX, has less technological edge over the EX or even worse in some indicator, and still far below compared to the F35 lightning in many indicator performance. But the Caesar already crossed the Rubicon, and they still need to follow this project to the end. That's why Indonesian Air Force and MoD has Made recommendation to still lobbying the US for F35, even need decade to do so.

Rafale of France is Russian substitution, as the Armed Forces and even our civillian leadership doesn't feel like to bet the whole of Air Force into single supplier nation. This is still necessary move, as France itself still within the big five member, still has some saying in internasional community and large base support Among countries in middle east

Wise move. Considering that F-15EX is designed to have 20.000 flight hours (double any current fighter jet), at one point in the future we'll have F-35 + F-15EX double act forces, exactly copying what the USAF implementing right now. Rather proven combination and probably the first country to do so (after USAF).

Dynamatic Technologies Limited Completes First F-15 Former Assembly

Our Bureau - Oct 20, 2022 - 1:19 am

Dynamatic Technologies Limited has completed the first F-15 former assemblies for Boeing. This is the first made in India aero-structure for the F-15 fighter jet.

The newest version of the legendary F-15 fighter incorporates the most advanced systems available globally, including next-generation design and technology built on a digital thread.

“The collaboration between Boeing and Dynamatic to transfer technical & artisanal skills for complex assemblies is an example of Deep Industrialisation: 100 per cent of the components are indigenously developed by us in addition to final assembly. We are proud to support Boeing’s iconic P8, Chinook, and F15 EX programs internationally.” said Udayant Malhoutra, CEO & Managing Director, Dynamatic Technologies Limited.

Dynamatic has been associated closely with Boeing as a strategic supplier partner for over a decade now. In September 2021, Boeing awarded the contract for manufacturing assemblies for the F-15 to Dynamatic Technologies.

“The completion of the first made in India aero-structure by Dynamatic Technologies for the F-15 marks a significant milestone in the effort we have put in over the years to help build a strong foundation of indigenous manufacturing capabilities. It is through this scaling up and maturation of our industrial partners’ capabilities and capacity that will support India’s aspiration to become Aatmanirbhar in aerospace and defence,” said Salil Gupte, president, Boeing India.
