Tubiktak developed KGK for similar role.

JSOW production has been terminated in 2016

KGK is infinitely better than JSOW's. i know that. i dont want us to reinvent the wheel.
BLU-108 is the submunition dispensed from JSOW's. excellent for tank-plinking. i want THAT to be reverse engineered and manufactured in mass numbers!

Does the KGK has data link, anti spoofing as well as ability to hit moving and maritime targets like the JSOW C-1?

kgk has active radar seeker too:

and there is also winged version of laçin (INS/GPS/IIR guided munition + 2 way datalink via L-POD):

Mr Demir said we are now able to launch KGKs with improved ranges, cause it is now possible to launch them from 50 000 feet and at higher speeds. We don't know the improved range. older range was 110 km. (40 000 feet 0.9 mach)

There is something not quite right about those arrival times/flight duration times.
Omtas speed is 0.4mach according to I Sunnetci’s tweet. That is in line with this ATGM’s specs. So check.
But he also claims that the same duration is given as 1+ minute for the Atmaca missile.
That doesn’t make sense.
If Atmaca is taking 1+ minutes to reach 4km , then it is too slow. That makes slower than 0.2 Mach. So it is wrong.
Most sources have been quoting 0.85-0.9 Mach speed for Atmaca. (This is commensurate with Exocet and Harpoon speeds)
If it takes 1+ minute/say 2 mins to reach the 250km total range that Atmaca has , then it‘s speed is 6+ Mach. We know that can’t be right too.
It confused me at first as well but the tweet says time to maximum range. So, 4km for OMTAS but obviously much further for Atmaca.

Would Aselsan, in partnership with Roketsan, make such a miniature bomb that is launched from the ground with a rocket?

Yup, the miniature bomba, which is closer to the SDB I while assume the SDB II with its MMW +IR+IIR are closer to he new KGK variant or Kuzgun ?
We have Mİnbo IIR similar to SDBII. It has a new name but I forgot. Toygun... something like that

Kuzgun has a winged variant without engine too. Minbo is around 130 kg while kuzgun is 84 kg.

It would be nice, to share a source thanks.
JSOW will be replaced by Kuzgun TJ. 180km+ range, IIR or seeker head.
Hmm, if yes, that would be 2 different type of munitions replacing one another. The Kuzgun TJ (I assume TJ= TuboJet) is a powered glide bomb, while the JSOW is an unpowered glide bomb.

np: there's actually a powered JSOW before its program was terminated due to lack of interest from the USN.

I remember 3 4 years ago some twitter defence people (like t-rex and/or yusuf akbaba) were talking about kgk and sdb versions of this. Maybe some dead projects now..

Tolun (Minbo IIR, aselsan)

The integration of Kuzgun SS (winged and no engine version of Kuzgun) to Aksungur in the end of 2022

Aksungur, ready for Kuzgun SS launch

Update about Kuzgun specs (kuzgun ss: range 40 + km from ucavs, guidance: SAL/IIR/EW and 2 different war heads in one munition 14 kg each which is very interesting)

and last update form TUBİTAK SAGE design office

I am aware it is a confusion ( so is that to me, i can not even follow the PGM field anymore) but in simple words;

Aselsan's Minbo currently has both GPS-INS and IIR guided versions, latter is referred as 'Tolun IIR' indicating it might have IR(SAL) - MMW versions as well, and in development. While the prior has already gone through tests.

KGK - HGK et al. are all guidance kits for unguided freefall bombs. There is IR, GPS-INS versions of both, IIR Referred as 'Lacin' and finally a new MMW version that is likely not gone through a test, yet. Multiple producers and developers exist for this family so i can not name a particular company.

Kuzgun is a whole new story, independent project of Tubitak SAGE focusing on modularity, where Kuzgun FreeFall and TJ versions may not be up to size of Minbo (Minbo 140, Kuzgun 85 kg) but provides modularity at guidance section.

In fact, at a time when we were discussing the US threat to close Syrian airspace, such a land-launched rocket miniature bomb and a wing-guided bomb would be of great use to us.

We could hit any target we wanted without risking our aircraft. and at the same cost as hitting it with a plane.
