I personally stopped following any earthquake related news because I couldn't handle it , the videos from Syria and Turkey is beyond anyone heart can take .

My two cents , for Turkey to be better country they need to :

1- impeccable judicial system
2- death penalty

Death penalty is the first step towards total authoritarian regime
Such a penalty can be easily abused if used wrongly such as in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Libya

Government building keeping records of all lab tests Hatay etc. Area has been approved for demolition.

I think she’s saying it contains information and outcome of tests of construction projects and other stuff.
This is fake news aimed at increasing hatred towards a targeted political group; most oftenly the govt.
Whats even worse is that she is a lawyer ffs; in other words, she is some1 who studied law in order to lie to ppl. The problem in Turkey is primarily within the ppl themselves, I swear

The amount of misinformation being spread on social media is insane. Filthy Politicians from Umit Ozdag, Kemal kilicdaroglu, Opposition prics and even AKP assholes are all playing political games and spreading fake news in order to pass on their political agenda while the normal Turk is cryinf from the loss lf loved ones

The video you shared has been seen by 4 million ppl and I would say that 80% have believed such fake news already and are spreading it. For once, I actually stand by the govt when they decided to limit social media. The opposition is having one hell of a party right now in social media

Here is some1 explaining how this stuff actually works
Translation:
Those who work in the public know well. Documents are archived as printed documents and all correspondence is made over BELGENET, and the relevant documents are scanned and attached. In soft environment. Of course, this technological development is a technology that some perceivers cannot grasp. Regards dude.

I don’t want to shift the topic but you are wrong

The US is the most democratic country and impose death penalty

Canada and EU banned it due to human rights only

Indonesia , Malaysia , Singapore Have death penalty and they are not authoritarian regime .

What is needed in Turkiye right now is a society without corruption and nepotism. These are the most important things for a country to prosper. We don’t need the death penalty, especially with a madman like Erdogan.

My cousin and his wife and 3 little kids couldnt be saved in Kahramanmaraş. I am at the funeral now and everyone is mad about the government slow rescue actions and bureaucracy.

Day 1: They were alive and send locations to their friends and nearby families with their phones. Friends and familie came to the ruins and tried to force the rubble with bare hands, not succesfull. No rescue teams arrived the first day.

Day 2: A Israeli team arrived to help. They couldnt force a opening and stopped working because the building was very risky. They left.

Day 3: The fireworkers of the Niğde Muncipality arrived, they also tried to force a opening in the ruin, but unsuccesfull.

Day 4: A French rescue team arrived. They digged two openings like a tunnel in the ruins, it took 8 hours. They succeed, but it was already to late.

About the quality of the buildings I am afraid nothing will change.

I have a house in Manisa in a site (group of housings) and proposed to let the buildings (4 flats of 3 high in the site, 90 housings in total) examine by an independent instance, at first many agreed but than when it came to the cost everyone backed down and started to say things like let ask the constructor.

What a bunch of idiots we have, which constructor will tell I have sold you crap?

Corruption is settled within our culture. If you want to make things done in Turkey, you must know someone who works for the government.

"My aunt works for the muncipality. Thanks to her i have a job at the muncipality, instead of someone with the right diploma."

"My neighbour is building a high wall around his garden. I didnt like that. I have a friend working at the government. I told him and he fined my neighbour and ordered him to break down the wall."

"I want to take a vacation from work. My boss didnt give me a few weeks off. My uncle is a doctor. I asked from him a illness report, and now i am free for 15 days."

This is daily business for 100 years. You can only destroy this culture of nepotism and corruption with a new established taskforce specialised in this branche in combination with a target system (find nepotism, get rewarded) and high fines and jailtimes.
