BTW Bayraktar TB2 and others needs a flat concrete runway. It is not possible to take off and land from dirt ground or grass or field. Also, they need a long runway to take off.Most gyrocopters nowadays only require around 20mof runway to go up in the sky and around 60mfor landing. That means they can be flown from practically everywhere.
Gyrocopters can take off and land from grass football fields, villages.
So you don't need to airbases which your enemys' first target.

I have had the impression for a while that while PD222 is intended for that purpose, because it goes down to 115HP at 30k feet vs 130HP of Pd170 they were actually intending to use PD170 instead thinking it might be enough for take off.But is PD170 powerful enough to do that?
