Quite confused here

So which one is the Navy's target for 2024/MEF? 100 aircraft or 160 aircraft?

Around 100 hundred should be initially, but there is must be adjustment when Prabs taking the helm

Which countries does Indonesia cooperate with to give extended training to submarine officers?

Submarine Group 7 Strengthens Ties with the Indonesian Submarine Force

By Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Brian G. Reynolds, Commander, Submarine Group 7 Deputy Public Affairs Officer | April 20, 2015

FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan — Rear Adm. William R. Merz, Commander, Submarine Group 7 (COMSUBGRU 7), met with representatives from the Indonesian submarine force in Surabaya, Indonesia, on April 14 in order to strengthen a dynamic working relationship between the two navies.

The primary focus of the staff talks was to establish routine periodic regional engagements and operations to integrate the Indonesian submarine force as a partner and ally in the Pacific.

The engagements will include training opportunities between the two navies that will focus on integrating U.S. and Indonesian submarine force capabilities.

The staff talks followed a table top Simulated Submarine Casualty Exercise (SMASHEX), where COMSUBGRU 7, U.S. Navy Submarine Rescue Command, and International Submarine Escape and Rescue Liaison Office worked with the Indonesian navy during a simulated submarine rescue training.

The Indonesian navy is the largest navy in Southeast Asia based on the number of active personnel and ships.

This duel between Japan and Italy could probably a bit tighter than we think.

Japan obviously have the advantages in connection and financing. The disadvantage is the U.S. weapon system like that guy AH said.

Italy also have the advantages of apart from being fully European weapon system warship, FREMM is basically joint produce between Fincantieri and Naval Group. They can use the existing Naval Group connection to MoD.

So who'll win this, Japan, Italy, or a draw (purchase both)? :)

Edit:
That news article was from 2015!

He's salty 😂
Also @Madokafc this is what you mean by naval system from US you were mentioning in Air Force thread right?
we should hold a little and see which proposal is better , either mitsubishi or FREMM based on their specification / price and transfer of technology , but japan already throw their trump card with investment involved that lure our prime minister , what italy side can offer ??

in my opinion , since italy is one of the european semiconductor industry powerhouse , they could try to offer investment in that field .

Japan had better capability and financial resource in financing, Italy alone can't match them

He is got some "ling lung" aspect for being known that US Enter the fighter Program with F 15.

All i can read is, the rafale will have no longer breath.

But who knows, the one that surpass at the last corner turn will win. And i'll assume there's only one winner.

Sensors are mainly Japanese,
Major US systems are CIWS (SeaRAM) and Mk41VLS, the prior is easy to replace with any kind of CIWS, the latter will definitely be leased for Indonesia, why not? Along With ESSM or SM-2.
SeaRAM (or RAM) is luxury for Indonesia, too expensive per-missile,per-system for the range it provides. It won't be a big deal to add Millennium gun there.
Even propulsion is British RR.
That guy (Alman) is so pro-European he is blinded by the facts.

FREMM has got US- GE LM2500 gas turbine.

Maybe remind this to Alman that Indonesian IH will have american SM-2 or ESSM too, that deal was done before Japanese has approached for sales of Frigates.

Seem to me, he is eating too much of his own gorengan with probably too much cabe rawit

I strongly believe in this case everybody (Dassult, Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin) will get something as in the winner

Iver huietfieldt has already got those. And something was revealed earlier showed high number of point defense missiles which probably hints a quadpacked one.
Just guesses, it is hard to guess something when Indonesia make purchases :)
It will be a big loss if IH is delivered only with MICA missiles, it should have something long range and medium range.
