I think you still need a ski jump on the ship to launch this drone at least with ammunition, just because of the headwind on the open sea + the speed of the ship in the opposite direction which transfers additional pressure on the Drone, it may be even harder to launch a fully loaded light turboprob drone like TB3 without a ski jump. I am not an expert, maybe someone can answer this who really knows if my theory is correct.

comparison TB3 vs Mojave

TB-3's engine configuration; PD170/180ST has a maximum take-off power under 200shp, while the 222ST has a maximum take-off power of 222hp as future option. Meanwhile, GA-ASI uses a 450-horsepower Rolls Royce turboprop engine in its system. Naturally, the maximum take-off weight of the rival system can reach over 3 tons, while TB-3 will be about 1.5 tons, maybe in the future with PD-222ST or a small turboprop, it will be about 2 tons. Both systems have advantages and disadvantages against each other. The TB-3 will have a higher power-to-weight efficiency, and possibly a higher flight endurance. It also has a more compact airframe with a shorter wingspan, which could allow it to land on much smaller ships. You can even hide it in a shop under an apartment building and take off from the street, just that alone is an incredibly valuable operational capability. I think it is not the right approach to constantly compare these two platforms.

Great to have TB3 on Anadolu but as we all know Enemy SAMs can easy destroy those low speed drones so those can be used only for attack on terrorist with no SAMs ,Even Libya haftaris may hit that tb3 So what Turkiye can do is ANKA 3 or another version STEATHY drone that can be seen by Radar only from 10 km when is too late, To be lunched from Anadolu and even Countries like greece , Egypt , Israel will have hard time to find it and destroy.

Tb3 has some standoff munition choices which are far beyond the reach of air defence of many countries

Kemankeş 1: 200 + km range
Tolun and Tolun IIR: 100 km range
İha 122: 60+ km range

In future

Kuzgun tj: 180 km range
Skywolf gama: 80 km range
Alpagut: 80 km range

When you say “negotiate again”, top of my head 🤔 … Indonesia?
I believe the deal is sealed this time but it doesn't cover TB3, and they show a LHD design based on Anadolu, also rumoring that it will be in construction soon, but no i referred to Japanese. If i recall correctly they have visited Baykar, or somehow got some technical briefing about TB3. The idea intrigues them and i see a high chance of export.
Any Island nation really with undeveloped short and rugged runways imo.
This too, but a low-cost (acquisition, operation, maintanance) drone attracts more customers. And i referred to Japan.

I remember when that news came out and I admit I dismissed it right away not because i don’t believe in our hardware but because Japan’s given technological level. I assumed developing a UCAV would be within their capabilities.
But after they saw TB3 landing and taking off with ease, maybe they’ve seen enough and a low cost ready product might convince them.

All in all it’s good news.

Smaller, flatter canopy, cannon..

Do we have any idea on what the aircraft/concept at the top of the table is? For some reason it looks really similar to NGAD(minus the vertical stabilizer/rudder?), could that design be Kaan that is fully planned-optimized for full air superiority prior to us getting kicked out of F35 program?

(Sorry if this is already discussed here, i am still fairly new to this forum 😁)

EDIT: https://www.defenceturkey.com/tr/icerik/insansiz-savas-ucagi-anka-iii-tisu-mius-a-bir-bakis-5451

According to Defence Turkey, that top version seems to be the air superiority version derived from MIUS/TIUS, i wonder if they scrapped the project or are they still working on it? The design of it looks really nice to be totally honest.

If I am not mistaken, a more detailed presentation of this ilustration is presented in the 'Türkiye Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Roadmap 2011-2030' document. So this roadmap is based on TAI's corporate strategy, which dates back maybe 15 years. Although there have been many differences in some areas over the years, the order of the systems and the dates of their emergence show that the master plan remains valid to a considerable extent.

Since this document was published in 2011 We always knew that the stealth flying wing armed drone would come in some way, but there were things that not went beyond speculation about when the project would start or if it had started. It was even completely forgotten for a while. Until Kotil's statement which he made suddenly. Things were going a little differently during Kotil's time, ANKA-3 was announced by him before even the concept drawings were not reflected in the press. I am the first person to open a thread about ANKA-3 in foreign forums, that's how I know it. We didn't even have any concept art to show. Kotil's press statements were never contain specific information, he liked to explain systems in a way that everyone could understand, and he also liked to make exciting. GM Demiroğlu, on the other hand, I think is closer to the military mentality, his statements are more cautious, and he is careful not to share too much.

Anyway, ANKA-4 or ANKA-X, whatever its code name will be, we know that TAI will come up with a much more agile and powered turbofan UCAV. The question of when is speculative for now, maybe tomorrow, maybe even sooner. :) My personal opinion is that concept drawings will be leaked in 2025.

What I don't understand is why do we need Anka-4 when we have Kızılelma? Do we have a lot of money to throw away?

We have no idea what "Anka-4" is, or whether it will happen in the first place. Anka-4 is not even its official name.

Actually, I think we are clearly within this topic. And if we are going to talk about the image above, "Anka-4" will be a high-performance interceptor drone that will accompany Kaan.

If this is really what is planned by TUSAŞ, then I ask why there is a need for "Anka-4" (or whatever its name will be) when there is Kızılelma.

The Kızılelma and the Anka-4 are very different platforms. It is understood that Kızılelma will focus on air-to-air missions with its canards.
