Per Özbek, HvKK and RAF chiefs also discussed the sale of ex-RAF C-130Js. Either the scope of the deal is lowered from 10-12 to 5 or this is just the first phase. So this is still not a done deal.

Well there is a posibility that news of 5 aircraft acquisition was a part of the negotiation. Maybe that the deal is more to our liking , the number is up to 12 again.

In the future they should focus on buying more A400m as it can do both tactical and strategic airlift. And eventually completely replace C130s.

Sometimes you don’t need a a400 to do c130 job and replacing the c130 1 on 1 with a400 would be too expensive but 5 more a400 would be a good idea (would have wished that TAF had a couple c17 for heavy lifting)

We need at least 25 more A400's but no C17's they are expensive in everything(price,operational costs,maintenance).

If they were available, we would for sure buy at least 4-5 C-17s in the next 10 years. Qatari ones were invaluable in Libya.

132. Filo “Daggers” will be based at Nellis (Nellis AFB) for the duration of exercise.
All sci-fi fans out there will be excited to hear that because the AFB itself is inside Nellis AF Range which is next to world-renowned Area 51!

“A humorous veil was prepared for the exercise. Mr. Ömer Erkmen, who designed the veil, shared his story.

Representing our Air Force, the 132nd Squadron DAGGERS will fly at Nellis. We have designed a different visor (*patch) for our Daggers who will fly as the "Blue Unit" against the toughest "Red Unit" pilots known. The Nellis Air Base where the exercise is held is adjacent to "AREA 51", which has been the subject of UFO stories and movies and legends since the 50s, and it is even forbidden to fly over the area in question. The visor idea is that our Daggers, who shot down all the reds in the exercise, are now chasing other "Hostiile" in the region and have already chased one of the UFOs that no one else could find...
