Not only do we have better radars nowadays thanks to Aselsan but who also knows what that garbage can transmits to the russians.
That is a (distant imo) possibility but I'm willing to bet that we have taken it apart a few times and took a real long look under the hood already and learned how to stop that from happening.

In the future they should focus on buying more A400m as it can do both tactical and strategic airlift. And eventually completely replace C130s.

Less parts, less maintenance training and less dependency on USA.

They are in a different category, you need both types.

Sometimes you don’t need a a400 to do c130 job and replacing the c130 1 on 1 with a400 would be too expensive but 5 more a400 would be a good idea (would have wished that TAF had a couple c17 for heavy lifting)

We need at least 25 more A400's but no C17's they are expensive in everything(price, operational costs, maintenance).

If they were available, we would for sure buy at least 4-5 C-17s in the next 10 years. Qatari ones were invaluable in Libya.

So,we would pay about $1,75 billion($340/350 million a piece) fo 5 C17's with minimum 25k per hour operational costs?
Btw,if our president had asked i'm sure the Emir would have gifted us some.

5 F-16s from 132 squadron, 2 KC-135s, 2 A400Ms and a C-130 landed in US the other day, presumably to join Red Flag 25-2. This will be the first Red Flag TurAF joined since 2016. Interesting timing. 2 of the F-16s carry Aselpod while others carry the Sniper, another interesting info.

132. Filo “Daggers” will be based at Nellis (Nellis AFB) for the duration of exercise.
All sci-fi fans out there will be excited to hear that because the AFB itself is inside Nellis AF Range which is next to world-renowned Area 51!

A patch was designed for the Red Flag 2025 by Mr. Ömer Erkmen.

👇🏼

“A humorous veil was prepared for the exercise. Mr. Ömer Erkmen, who designed the veil, shared his story.

Representing our Air Force, the 132nd Squadron DAGGERS will fly at Nellis. We have designed a different visor (*patch) for our Daggers who will fly as the "Blue Unit" against the toughest "Red Unit" pilots known. The Nellis Air Base where the exercise is held is adjacent to "AREA 51", which has been the subject of UFO stories and movies and legends since the 50s, and it is even forbidden to fly over the area in question. The visor idea is that our Daggers, who shot down all the reds in the exercise, are now chasing other "Hostiile" in the region and have already chased one of the UFOs that no one else could find...
"You Can't Escape the Dagger" (* Can’t escape from a dagger)

The offer from the UK for the supply of 40 Typhoon jets for TurAF has been received by Ankara.
Estimated to be at least 5 billion Euros, the offer details are not yet known.
But the planes are to be the latest T4 versions coming with Meteor a2a missiles.

That’s cheaper than expected maybe they cut a deal to integrate our own weapons and thus bought only a small amount of munitions

That is cheap IMO. 5 Billion for 40 Jets + Armaments + Training I guess? Or is it just for the jets?

5bn figure is not sourced, nothing to know for now. 8bn is also “at least 5bn”.

ıt is good however that gears are finally turning with solid advances. This has been in the works since late 2021.
