Admiral Yetkin mentions 3 years as when they expect to launch the ship. I don't expect it's acceptance tests which will take at least 2 years, to start before 2031-32.So you expect 7 years of sea trials for TF-2000
YHSS is dead lmaoSpanish resources on my radar, i could not find info about Gokdeniz for the Spanish navy.
Nothing officially.
Last time I checked, it wasn't even on MKE's website anymore.YHSS is dead lmao
Do help me understand it but I think this means "NCSG" will be using Italian engines, localized by BMC.We signed a 2MW Main Propulsion Engine and Localization Protocol with ISOTTO FRASCHINI MOTORI for the National Coast Guard Ship.
Not to mention that 3-4 TF-2000 are officially needed to protect the whole coast of our Land. The thing is if get another LHD then we will need more aaw Frigates/destroyers so maybe a thinned down version like Asfat 3600
Its not about the coasts, its about Air Defence for most of our territory.Need for TF-2000 is imperial ambitions in near east. Do our coasts really need air defense heavy frigate TF-2000?
You're comparing apples to oranges here, those platforms you mention and TF2000 have different tasks. TF2000 would be like having a first line of defence against enemy air strikes from the sea, giving us even more cover.Need for TF-2000 is imperial ambitions in near east. Land based Çakır launchers, UAVs, USV, unmanned subs, Fast Attack Crafts and Tuzla Class patrol boats are enough for our costs.
No they turn away that idea, remember STM design with 55 knots, its not good for bad whether even for island sea,you can not even stand up position on board with 55 knot/400 ton FAC.Üsküdar biz have good article for that idea. This is not a FAC (Fast Attack Craft). This is a light corvette or we can call it a heavy gunboat, to bring back gunboat legacy.
IMHO, Navy still needs a true FAC design to complement this, optimized for speed and firepower instead of endurance and tonnage. It can be either manned or unmanned. Speed around 55 knots 8x SSM+smaller tactical missiles, 35mm CIWS at the front, RAM at the back. 400-450 tonnes displacement.

Coastal line 6 miles!!, EEZ max 100 miles( just in Mediterranean sea) !!! For it no country in the world builds an air defense heavy frigate!!! TF 2000 won't work in 100miles of our shores. An air defence destroyer protect a certain range around it, limited by its sensors and munitions. Creates an umbrella, so to speak. It would protect our ships but also creates a first line of defence against attack coming from the sea, if it is in the right position at the moment. It's not like an enemy can just sneak ships in position, even submarines are a difficult matter at times.Coastal line 6 miles!!, EEZ max 100 miles( just in Mediterranean sea) !!! What about I-class frigate instead of destroyer? An air defence destroyer protect a certain range around it, limited by its sensors and munitions. Creates an umbrella, so to speak. That's what I meant. It is about imperial ambitions. BTW I don't mind having imperial ambitions!!!Don't forget that MUGEM will need air defence too.
