"We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BAE Systems to collaborate in the field of unmanned aerial systems and related technologies. No details yet, but should be interesting.
"After Leonardo and Baykar tie-up earlier this year, BAE's FalconWorks and TAI have announced a "strategic alliance" to "explore common opportunities" on uncrewed air systems. Interesting move that opens up some interesting possibilities."
Does the UK have engines ready for drones like Kizilelma, ANKA3 etc?"We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BAE Systems to collaborate in the field of unmanned aerial systems and related technologies.
Within the scope of this collaboration, we aim to evaluate joint opportunities in the field of future unmanned systems and create new areas of cooperation."
"We see this as the start of a deep and meaningful alliance between our two organisations, each bringing complementary skills and capabilities to the table and a strong portfolio of uncrewed assets which we can leverage and combine to create a range of compelling and cost-effective solutions."
They have an engine that is used in Global Hawk, though I don't know whether it is powerful enough or not. Or whether it would even fit. They also have another one but it is joint project with the French, so, that is out of the question. Then there is EJ200, of course, but that would be too big, maybe? Unless they've been working on something else.Does the UK have engines ready for drones like Kizilelma, ANKA3 etc?
Was just a thought of mine because I think the ANKA3 and Kizilelma need better engines. They have an engine that is used in Global Hawk, though I don't know whether it is powerful enough or not. Ukrainian engines could be okay until TF6K/10K is ready, or rather could've been if their factory hasn't been bombed at least a few times. Was just a thought of mine because I think the ANKA3 and Kizilelma need better engines.
