I know the difference, i don't intend to compare apple and starfruit i just want to emphasize starfruit won't grow in Turkey, somebody will import and label it "local" while apples grow unattended in anywhere but nobody pays attention to wrap it up and sell.Quote:
And then i remember this project which literally pulled some budget from SSB and Tübitak for R&D and gave nothing in return:

@anmdt ,
Watozz or whatever it was called was a project by a private company. This is the brainchild of Tubitak-Mam. Totally different scenario.
Apparently, the system works on the basis of a chemical reaction. Lithium hydroxide reacts with CO2 in the air and turns it into lithium carbonate and water, eliminating some of the CO2 in the Sub’s atmosphere.

Ismail Demir: We are also working on semi-submersible systems.
Sapan (missile based CIWS) will be used on FAC.
I don't know exactly it seems to be under review as of now, but there are some efforts to use alternative propulsions (Ukranian turbine + local waterjet) which doesn't seem possible to catch FAC production timeline, otherwise typically we can assume it will be RR waterjet (RR turbine if things goes bitter with US)+ LM2500Is there any information regarding the propulsion system that's going to be used on FAC. I know it's a combined gas on gas, but wondering whether it will be US/GB based or Ukrainian.
We need more explanation , mentioning just couple word is unfair. I think the SAPAN is the biggest challenge of Türkish Navy.Sapan (missile based CIWS) will be used on FAC.
Is this okay to share this with public? You can clearly see the propellers. The Official Ministry account deleted the tweet later but I hope the Turkish Defense Ministry knows that the Twitter is a huge blackhole. Serious OPSEC failure for Turkish Navy, damn.

By the way, does anyone know who's running the official account?
I mean Type 214 submarines are pretty common and known by the public. There's many pictures with shown propellers online but still, you gotta keep something classified lol. There might be some design changes made by Turkish Navy, maybe.If it is not ok it is already too late!
