I guess we have different definition on central and south Asia, in China we consider Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand as part of south east Asia.

Xinjiang's GDP is bigger then Kazakstan and overall development in infras, healthcare, education, global finance, industries...all far ahead of Kazakhan all across the border.
Who has higher GDP per capita?
Almost the same, per capita alone won't decide a region's overall development, Xinjiang is far ahead of Kazakhstan in almost all sectors of the economy.
You can believe in those western propaganda, but did you ever think how a region can develope so fast if a whole bunch of the local population are being locked up and persecuted, western propaganda only igonres one important factor, common sense.

I don't have the exact number cause GDP shrank in Kazakhstan last year and Xinjiang grew, they are about the same. as I menitioned, I m talking about the overall development in the first place, and XInjiang is far ahead of Kazakhstan in this regard.
They are about the same, and my statement that Xinjiang's development beats all countries in central and south Asia is a fact. whoever takes a trip around Xinjiang can easily see it.

I m talking about Xinjiang's overall development beats all countries in central and south Asian countries. as for percapita, Many Chinese cities can beat Beijing and Shanghai, but they can't say they are more developed than Beijing and Shanghai. Xinjiang's GDP per capita is almost the same with Kazakhstan, which is around 8500 USD, Kazakhstan's GDP shrank last year while Xinjiang 's grew, and RMB appreciated a lot during the past 2 months, it's not accurate to find the exact number, but they are very close, Xinjiang's GDP growth is one of the highest in China, in a couple of years, even capita wise Xinjiang will be pulling ahead of all central and south Asian countries fast.

Figures for Kazakhstan are 9815, Xinjiang is 7735.
XInjiang is indeed one of the lowest GDP per capita provinces in China, but it enjoys one of the highest growth rate.
