Change engagement rules for border patrols. This is Middle East. We are under terrorist threat. Any illegal alien trying to enter Turkey should be seen as an threat. Border guards should be allowed to engage if they don't surrender themselves. Pepper spray cannon to .22 to lethal weapons.

Fund Iranian, Afghan, Pakistani groups etc. to deter aliens from leaving or going further.

Make very good use of social media to deter aliens.

Put fake and real mine fields.

Use mandatory military service for border patrol. Border walls near cities, villages. Rest with sensors, unmanned vehicles, UAVs etc.

Revise visa policy to stop other migrant waves that abuse visas.

Tanju Özcan did something remarkable today. It made me cry tears of JOY! I hope this man becomes the president of Turkey. If I had a thousand votes, I would give them all to him. He has the GUTS to lead this country. I have never been so proud of Bolu.

Never before in my lifetime there has been a Turkish politician as inspiring to me as him

He may just be Mayor of Bolu but he's the king in our hearts.

All hail the King!

Is this what you are referring to?

You'd end up being hated more than Israel if videos start popping up of guards hosing refugees with gunfire, that's not the way.

Also I should add, if the problem is this bad now, what's the plan when Climate Refugees start coming?

Notice the migration routes mapped in 2015. Turkey will be a huge focal point for climate refugees from the middle east and asia.

That's if Turkey doesn't turn into a desert by then:

Besides, climate refugees are not covered by any UN framework, so I don't know how that will be solved

Kalın is a bureaucrat. He can't win anything.

If he has the right backing from this admin than I don't see why he can't be elected because he has the necessary mental capacity and shrewdness for the job while some of the current opposition will send Turkey back few decades in the advancement department and Some of them are batshit crazy I heard their interviews and opinions they shouldn't even be allowed to run for office these folks anywhere in the world not even on an empty island just overall intellectually bankrupt.. I don't wanna give out names but a certain guy who came out with a bombastic tweet lately comes to mind amongst others🤣🤣🤣🤣

Broski seriously I would rather see Arda Turan take office rather than these folks so that bringing guns to hospitals becomes legal... Everyone and his dog can bring a gun to any hospital in any sort of romantic disputes. Legalized by the high authorities and signed under by Titanium100 who approves this motion coming into effect

Some of them just ain't about this life bro and will take turkey backwards

Turkey currently holds like 10-15% of Syria.. Turkey is making permanent settlements for them there and slowly start to build these areas for large settlements.. This is easily solvable.. They are already using Lira in North Syria the place just needs developments which is already under-way. Many are slowly going back and will go back the more North Syria gets prepared.. Which is also one of the reasons Turkey will never release North Syria without a political settlement between both parties and as long as it doesn't happen Turkey will keep North Syria for re-settlement purposes which is why Erdogan took north-east Syria of Euphrates for resettlement purposes.. Erdogan might even want to grab more of north Syria for re-settlement purposes..

This will also strengthen the North Syrian bloc the more return back from Turkey the more formidble they become.. Turkey should also arm them handsomely to the point that if it goes south in the future they won't get pushed back into Turkey but from a geo-political point of view they remain a good buffer zone and frontier against terrorist groups that are outlawed in Turkey.

But my prediction is that Syria will be frozen in this state for the next 30 years but the good news for Turkey is that it controls a good amount of lands in Syria for re-settlement.

Better road connectivity, public transportation preferably a metro is needed.. ALOT of apartment buildings needs to be builded plus it is a fertile land so agriculture can be expanded to the point that North Syria can become an exporter and to be honest they are already exporting Olives to Turkey and other places this can be expanded on and due to it's agriculture potential it can become not only self-sufficient but an exporter

While i know that the refugees is creating a huge problem in turkey, all what i can say is that this is the wrong way to go
It is sad to see such people in power
What iam going to say may infuriate some ppl; however......
Yes, you can deport them, yes you can kick them out but not with this method...... honestly there is no difference between turkey and greece then

And with all due respect, turkish army would have gone to Syria whether there are refugees or not..... I want to say that the army intervened, not to kick Assad out of power, but in order to drive the PKK away.
And the soldiers who die are due to the YPG which is the Pkk (syrian branch) which is financed by the HDP who are allies with the CHP who lovely mayor in Bolu is a part of and who will rule Turkey from the Presidential palace soon......

Even if you deported all the refugees, turkish soldiers would still die
This isnt a cure tbh.....
this is just election propaganda!
When they rule in 2023, I can bet that more turkish soldiers will die, or more turkish ppl will die when the army withdraws from Syria
But by then..... it would be too late to fix things

That news is fake, source is also trash.

Seems like AKP is trying everything to defame the opposition.
i saw the rebutal of allegations but still where is smoke there is fire, anyway his approach is racist, you can imagine public outrage in some EU country for statements like this, open racism is not solution for legitimate problems that refugees cause to the society.

HOW IS IT RACIST. He said that anyone who isn't a Turkish citizen must pay 10x interest. Tell me again how that's racist?

This whole ummah thing mixed in with humanist bullcrap is creating more fascists out of ordinary people than anything that came before it. Our anger will only be contained until a certain point.

Yes it does. "Tanju Özcan, the Mayor of Bolu from the Republican People's Party (CHP), has announced that the water bills and the solid waste tax collected from foreign nationals residing in Bolu will be hiked by 10 times."

ok, do not like it but could undestand as long as it is consistent approach.he should get ready for backlash from ngo and human rights groups and possible legal charges.

These NGOs are wreaking havoc all over the world. I've already seen what they've done to the west, and I don't want the same to happen to Turkey.

Isolated western nations such as the UK, New Zealand, Australia, the USA and Canada are okay for now. But the demographic change and the massive impact on the social fabric of these nations caused by NGOs is very dangerous in the long run. All my friends from overseas say that things have gotten a lot worse as the percentage of foreigners increases.

If we look at what NGOs have tried to achieve in Turkey, it's quite scary. They are pushing for ethnic separatism under the guise of human rights, changes to the social fabric of the nation with things like LGBT, and they are also trying to erode secularism.

There was a document from the 90s which revealed that the USA wanted a multipronged approach to remove the Kemalist military and reinstate so-called "democracy". NGOs, FETO and AKP achieved this.

I hope we see the day when these traitors get punished.
