It has 11 km range as surface to air, so, it should have around 25-30 km range a2a; could work as an alternative I guess. It's weight, length and diameter is comparable to other short range a2a missiles, using it for both PDMS and a2a could simplify production and logistical footprint as well.
But that 11 km range is for an incoming missile, even though air launching would increase its range, NEZ against a fighter jet would be very short since it won't be as agile as dedicated A2A missiles. Could be a good C-UAS option but is that really a job for KAAN?
I wonder how hard it would be to turn a wvraam into a point defence missile for a jet, as engagements are being done from longer and longer ranges, may be the role of shorter range a2a missiles could change.

What does point defence do? Engages enemy missiles that enter its range. I am wondering if it would be possible to use shorter, within visual range air to air missiles to target enemy air to air missiles that are targeting your own jet, instead of using them to directly attack the enemy jet. Since air to air engagements are being done from farther and farther away, shorter range missiles are just there for the most part; however, if they could be used as point defence, it would add another layer of protection to a jet.
Is possible but would be a close one
In this possible scenario, enemy missile would be coming at you from X with speed a, your plane would release two short range missiles at point Y and keep going away, while your missiles move towards interception point Z at speed b. If the planes sensors and computer can calculate the missiles approximate speed when it is detected (assuming it can be detected, of course, otherwise the whole point is moot), the missiles could be given a general direction and distance to travel and then use their own passive and active sensors to explode in proximity of the enemy missile.

Cockpit and air intakes look wrong to me.
Cant even build proper munitions/guns in the past but all of a sudden its LM. We have a couple of smaller companies working on Ram coating but those are most like the more budget friendly options to reduce Rcs without great investments. At most these are for guided munitions
Yeah it saying it can be used as structural material made me think of Kamikaze drones. It is probably a composite that will slightly reduce the rcs or that would be the most logical explanation
