China, Indonesia sea dispute hot and getting hotter

Very admirable, I have seen the layout of Indonesia on a map, and yeah it's very complicated. Coastline is not the same as EEZ in a troubled region, which is why I imagine a system developed to keep an eye on China is necessary. Especially given their behavior in general.

    TR Economy & Updates

True, but considering the abundance of history, old sites, nature and what not we have, we should be able to pull of a cruise experience. Get some old cruise arrangers to come and give input on trips, stops and such. An example. Most Danes don’t know that you can ski in Turkey, they’re like...

Well, nothing is normal this year, so thinking nothing would happen shows how culpable world is. doesn’t change that the idea for that particular cruise rout is smart.

    TR Economy & Updates

A former colleague of mine in Denmark, would go on cruise vacation once every year or every other year. He and his wife would fly to northern most part of Norway and take the cruise line all the way to Oslo, or so. And then fly back from Oslo. planning trips from both ends of Turkey could be...

China, Indonesia sea dispute hot and getting hotter

I believe I mentioned this quite recently. Indonesia needs to get their hands on smart buoy system with surveillance and sensors. Imagine if these buoys could be wired to release sea mines and such. I’d still prefer light torpedo launchers from seabeds.

Moral and they need to find replacements. The faster we kill them the bigger is the risk of PKK dissolving into mini gangs. Unorganized.

NATO membership is Ukraine's strategic course – Zelensky

To be honest I am not sure if Ukraine would get the solidarity it needs from NATO. I mean full economic sanction on Russia was needed after the Crim-move, but Europe has been stepdancing to try to avoid any such move. Trump getting elected resulted in another round of stepdancing. So the united...

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

I can understand using it for Coast, border patrol and such due to higher payload, but I was thinking of missions requiring deep strike capability. While it's true that TB2 made a significant difference along with ANKA, and the pricetag of TB2 is affordable (I think it was around 6-8 mio. usd)...

Why a higher Akinci production compared to Aksungur ? Only one of those two have domestic engine atm, and that's Aksungur, so shouldn't production rate be higher for Aksungur ? Of course I am not taking presidential favoritism into consideration. As I see it Akinci will be tested thoroughly...

I wonder if the control systems are similar, it would be a very nice thing if they were. Also I hope if we are going to replace our tb2 fleet that it'll be 1-to-1 so we get over 100+ Aksungur. TB2 can be sold as battle proven 2nd hand to our allies, or used for training new generations of TSK...

French Navy deploys the frigate Latouche-Tréville to support operation Irini

30 years is good service time, but I imagine that she can still be used additional 10 years with life extension maintenance/upgrades. I was thinking that it would likely be passed/sold to Greece for a symbolic amount given the current situation. Though countries like Philippines would...

French Navy deploys the frigate Latouche-Tréville to support operation Irini

Is this a move to show they're back in the Irini operation after the withdrawel, or just a move to show solidarity with their allies ? Because we're in autumn and she'll sail straight to Greece afterwards and be "dismantled" there ? :)
