These are provisional components so far in the thread and are subject to final integration (and any re-modification re-design then).

The critical design review completion is projected for next month (Dec 2022) after which we will see this thread populate much more regarding fabrication and testing with regards to the "final" AMCA.

It's interesting that TFX is nowhere near the completion of CDR whereas AMCA's is almost finished but the former is being prepared for roll-out in 4 months and the latter hasn't even begun prototype-building phase. In the end, we'll see which approach will work out better. I personally would love to see some hardware on AMCA front. It would be fun to discuss and compare the platforms, their subsystems and be better informed. I trust that this thread is up to date and will share the news as it breaks.

Well regarding the TF-X, the design is frozen. The forward and mid fuselage sections are at FAL status and we will witness the rollout in a couple of months as you said. It probably is nearing the end of CDR studies. AMCA seems to be a more linear program regardless.

Speaking of the AMCA... Very F-35 like as far as I can see. Extensive use of composites are also expected which isn't a surprise. Hopefully we will see some pictures drop from the assembly line.

If this schedule holds we are almost two years away from CDR.
