Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in its own technology.

This project is probably getting $13 million support from US for UN mission in Mali.

Latest satellite images of BAF base Sheikh Hasina. The tarmac was supposed to be completed in 2020-21 FY but it'll take additional two or more year (likely to end in 2023). Looks like there are hangars for at least 15 jet/other aircraft (L-18 meters, W-29-30 meters) and two C-130J size aircraft (L- 39 meters, W-55 meters). Forgot to add, during a ministers visit it was reported that the new MRCA will be deployed here.

I didn't notice two additional C-130J size hangers on the south-west side of the base near the south end of the runway. Photo was taken in May so i expect construction saw more progress in last two months.

The Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport runway was closed for about 80 minutes after a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) fighter jet wheel broke down while landing.

The runway was closed from 2:25pm to 3:45pm on Sunday (7 August).

After some repairs, including changing the tires, the aircraft was ready to fly and the runway resumed operations.

"An Air Force fighter jet's wheel was damaged while landing. However, everything is stable now," Wing Commander Farhad Hossain, airport director of Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport, told The Business Standard.

Meanwhile, a Dhaka-bound US Bangla flight was delayed. No plane arrived from Dhaka airport after the closing of the runway was reported.

SOM integration For our Migs ? @Isa Khan
We only have 6 mig operational. And why would we even need them anyway? If 16/24 typhoon or rafales are brought in then it would good idea to have some som with it. @Isa Khan

Not feasible I think. Our Mig-29s are at the end of their service life. Already overhauled twice and relatively older than AAF's Migs. Once my idea was integrating SOM-J in our F-7BGI. (500 kg capacity per hardpoints)

i dont understand why would bangladesh air force need critical deep strike capability when it doesnt have basic defensive posture. we need urgently some typhoons or rafales. my best choice would be gripen e. cost effective, but at the same time we will get the aesa and the meteor bvr.

Looks like our military personnel are being treated like VIPs. Specially the chiefs are travelling too much. Hope this visit will make some progress on SAMI's investment in Lalmonirhat.
