Can't see Maldives ? Because the largest of their islands can barely house a landing strip, but they have a name in its place.

It was a joke....

The contract is between Turkiye and Morocco. To answer your question I would say "kind off", the future will explain more ;)

@Sanchez

Confirmed Morocco acquired a batch of Cobra 2 MRAP 😁😁😁
I thought it would be a small batch, 200?! Way to start the year for Otokar.

"According to Africa Intelligence, FAR has recently ordered 200 Cobra 2 armored vehicles, manufactured by the Turkish defense company Otokar. Notably, around 20 of these vehicles will be allocated to Moroccan peacekeepers participating in United Nations peacekeeping missions."

The sources are just bullshitting with their numbers, and they are making these calculations based on the deal you shared here in mid-December. The 136 million USD deal to an "undisclosed" client.. If that deal is intended for Morocco then I would guess a number of 250 vehicles, if not a little bit more. Excellent deal, congratulations to us 🙏

Allegations about TB2 sales to Tajikistan, is this true?

Wouldn't have thought it to be possible since Kyrgyzstan was our first costumer.
But since the peace deal was brokered by Türkiye, it may be possible under condition not to use against Kyrgyzstan. Just a speculation.

Good news for Baykar if it is true. But I hope it's not. There is going to be a lot of money spent on this that could have been better spent otherwise on priority matters. (i.e. Artillery modernisation, Air Defence & attack helicopters)

Definitely not. 24 TB-2 would cost around $250/260 millions going by the conservative estimate. (sea the Polish deal)
Yet, we urgently need to replace hundreds of mod-56 relic guns. We can buy hundreds of BORAN with $250 millions. Or maybe we should introduce 2x more Regiments of Nora b52, More TIGER MLRS? Could be additional HISAR batteries. (ADA is one of the serious weaknesses) All of it are much more fundemental need than new TB-2 right now.

Also, what about investing in the indeginous program? Speically when we already have one.

@Afif Buying 24 units at the same time is a rare occurance in this country. This means that defence procurements from Turkey(and hopefully others) is resuming after it was slowed by the economic situation as reported. The fact that election's over is also positive.MRSAM and more T-230/300 are long delayed procurements and will happen soon if things are good.

Also the 6 TB-2 we got are the only MALE UCAV in BA.Here they are trying to add a new capability that previously did not exist and 30-36 is not a big number.

What's more interesting is if it was carrying a new batch of 2 T129s, why would it do a stopover at Watiya? Such a load should be more than able to do a no stop trip. Weird. If it did do a refuel stop at Watiya though, that's a huge thumbs up to logistical capabilities we have in Watiya now.

Turkiye's arms export to Nigeria is increasing dramatically. This could be many different munitions, but heavy load indeed etc.

The need is apparent. Turkiye needs more A400's and an even more capable heavy airlifter. Qatari C-17s were doing some heavy lifting from Turkiye to Libya a few years ago.

I would say we start designing a heavy lifter.

We have seen that TR Motor is up to the task of making many kinds of engines, we need to use those engines somewhere. At some point in time we may not be able to tap into foreign made anything military anymore.

I don't like it when our limited military aircrafts used for transferring exported weapon. We have limited number of aircrafts, we are using their flight hours unnecessarily. Companies should own either their own aircraft for this purpose, or a separate organization should be established. Or maybe via Turkish Cargo.

We should get more A400M’s. Double the amount at the minimum.

The Philippine National Police received another batch of 9mm pistols, this time 3,243 units of Turkish-made Girsan MC9 9mm polymer frame striker-fired pistols. This as the PNP continues ro expand is size to cope with the increasing population and meet its targets.
