In Turkey I have acquaintances who received a grant of 1 million Euro for a valid project by the government and today they are leaders in their sectors
Give me names and company names? Those should be open to the public thus you shouldn't have any problems sharing those i suppose?
Tubitak recently have no funds and can not fund any scientific project up to their full budgets.
SSB has been cutting down R&D budgets.
R&D spendings have been dramatically down due to the value loss of lira and Government is not compensating the losses so far.

Where are they getting the project from, SSB, Tubitak?
Even KOSGEB doesn't provide projects fund in currency, neither SSB or Tubitak does but only in lira.

At least it may not have been ruined by an old man and his son in law and his religious advisors, and his fellow who obeys him no matter what (or they know they will be sacked if they don't obey). It could have been stable and Turkey could have kept growing and receiving investments with a stable and predictable economy.
we see that you do not know the economic history of Turkey, the economy was at -1000% at the end of 2000, if it has experienced a revival it is thanks to the current government, but in 20 years the Turks have not changed, they prefer to put their money in currency or gold than to create companies to export and no government can do anything for it

you have to find out my friend, not everything is done with the word, subsidies are granted to Turkish creators who have real valid projects.
Since you know what is happening in Turkey you should find it easily.

I have experienced those years and i remember very well. People were not poor as they are now.
You have literally gone back to the AKP election arguments that have no points that proves your stand now.

Ofcourse i will keep my money in USD or gold, am i insane to trust lira and keep it there and see it is melting away, am i insane to get into the business with an unpredictable government?
you want investment then you provide people a stable country with a stable economy and government.

you are quite right, on this point, in any case Turkey can only be a loser with all the American companies that pump money into Turkey.
Apple, Google, Amazon, Mcdonalds, KFC, Microsoft, Ford, Android, Nike, Gaumont, Disney, Netflix, these companies collect the money of the Turks.

Not really granted easily, i know many people who has solid and valid projects that has added values but their projects are still on hold because there is no budget.
You can't answer because you keep making some stuff to prove something. You should just tell names that casually should be avaliable to the public, incentives and subsidiaries are posted publicly.

Honda left production in Turkey.
Hyundai is expected to leave Turkey.
Volkswagen has stopped their investment plan despite of the incentives due to the unpredictable politics.

More foreign companies are shifting their operations to alternatives, stopping their production line in Turkey.
Now tell me, why does our government give up from the production that makes Turkish people earn money and lets those companies go away? Why are they not inviting more investors? With a stronger lira back in 2-3 years ago Turkey was still a favorable place with a young population, good location and logistic opportunities.

Note: Turkish operation of fast food chains was also sold to a foreigner company. At this point we are not even making any money even from the running the operations. Why? Because the Turkish company, Anadolu Group, couldn't rely on the politics or financial figures. Took their cash and left the business.

If your economy and politics are unreliable and unstable, people, companies prefer keeping their money in cash, in gold and in currency instead of constructing factories. Investors leave, son in law melts the treasury stocks away and the State sends out IBAN to seek help of public in funding work places affected by Covid. Why? Because son in law has used the emergency money kept in the treasury to fund the budget and show good figures to his daddy.

200 banks went bankrupt in 1999, earthquake in Istanbul, bankruptcy of the SSK, 1 dollar = 1,700,000 million lira and you know the economy you?
$50 billion in debt for the IMF
are you a joke?
Man SSK -SGK is now bankrupt as well and even in much worse situation, just check the numbers before you have spoken, SGK now can not pay for its debts to the pharmaceutical and medical companies.

Nobody concealed the inflation rates back then and they could take loan with proud, with low interest and accountability from IMF, now they can't dare to knock the door of IMF because they themselves now they can't meet standards of IMF on spending the funds.

They can't swallow their pride to appoint at IMF, they are deliberately and knowingly pushing Turkish Economy to the ground to fill their pockets more because they have seen their end is coming.

that is last remaining challenge to be overcome for Turkey, protection mechanism against USD manipulation.

The mental gymnastics people use to justify the current state of the economy is unbelievable.
When your own wealth is bound to a corrupt regime you do anything to hold on to it.

people need to realize that there are millions of Turks who benefit from this corruption. There are millions who live in apartments paid for by the municipality. Cars they Drive paid by taxpayers. And they even get salaries by the government. These people are employed by government agencies but they don’t do any work. They are given some title.

people who get paid from three or even four five different agencies and organizations without even working are the top of the iceberg. Whose trips to the US( yea the same US they call our enemy) are paid by taxpayers. Who sent their children to study in the west but tell the poor and middle income to send their children to corrupt imam Hitaps so they can be brainwashed.

at the bottom you have those who have been employed by family members or friends as help.

those are the ones who go around telling people the economy is fine. Because they don’t pay rent, no taxes, no utility bills, nothing for the car they drive and as an insult on top are payed a salary that even doctors could only dream of.

I am sure that you are one of the people who are demanding Kavala's release, so we should lower our pants in front of the European decision and follow their demands regarding interest rates.

if that were the case, make your brain work a little, the civil servants would no longer have salaries as in 1999 (thank you Kemal Kilicdaroglu for stealing the bottom of the earthquake to pay the civil servants), if that were the case, Turkey would not refuse IMF aid. It would not have paid off its debts and interest in November to the banks, interest of 1.3 billion euros !!

you mean the same IMF Erdogan took 6 billion loan just a couple months ago from? That IMF?

dude you are clearly an aktroll whose worried about His place on the ladder once the corrupt regime you have been hanging from comes crashing down soon.

stop parroting akp talkings points. Even your biggest troll leaders aren’t using the same argument you are for months now. You using internet explorer or what?

Soon every single one of your will be dragged in front of courts. Even if you think living in Europe will save you from the wrath of the republic you are naive. The countries you people live in will gladly deport your asses once the justice department makes the necessary demands to their counterparts.

than you can enjoy Erdogan justice inside cells in Turkey.

I myself know a lot of these Turks here. Factory workers who lived in 2 room apartment, whose children had sleep in one room. Suddenly they drive BMW and Mercedes cars worth 70.000+€ and all own multiple apartments and houses in Turkey. And all of this happened over the last 6-7 years.

And all of them are in a panic. Stopped talking about politics. Because they worry what will happen. They KNOW what will happen.

Nice lie since Erdogan refused the IMF, the evidence is there.
In addition, a person who has gone to live abroad is at the mercy of the country hosting him

A troll who always calls others a troll.
one thing I could see with the Germans, they trained you well, I could see this when I arrived in Stuttgart at customs.

The US spends 133 while it earns only 100... And their currency is considered solid.
Ankara's debt is 40% (now) which means that the Turks spend 100 and they have 60 left!

Yet the Americans condemned the Turkish lira, saying that it is now worth only 0.07 dollars or 7 cents !!!.
The American method is therefore to destroy the lira to the point of pulverizing Turkish debt and bringing it to more than 100% to bring the country to its knees and force Erdogan's departure.

what the US is saying and but as all reality translates into numbers, the 10-year Treasury bill fell below 1.35%, knowing that they had 15% inflation this year on current spending.
For example, the rent increase in the US has been 40% or more in small American towns!

Landlords are jacking up rents — often by 50, 60 or 70% — on tenants who locked in deals last year when prices were in freefall. That's reality.

Greek debts are guaranteed by EU (mostly Germany and to some extend France). Who is guaranteeing Turkish debt? No one. Regarding the US debt dollar is the reserve money of the world and who is gonna collect that debt when the US decides not to pay?

The VisualCapitalist site devoted to global debts only gives (to date) the official figures communicated by the IMF for the first quarter of 2020,
we can all see that Turkey remains far below in terms of the debts of the industrialized countries that live on credit.
Turkey produces 100, spends 40, there are 60 left.

$69 trillion in global debt in one infographic.
Turkey remains the good student, the others in the drawing who live on credit on the backs of other populations, in the first place the USA.
Debts that will never be repaid.
Believe me, Turkey manages its economy very well, it is the US that has been in conflict with the Turks since the rapprochement with Russia and China.
At the bottom of the image on the left
you can see that the Greek economy is in a catastrophic situation
