Doesnt it just give them the option of retirirng? If that is the case, then those who doesnt want to retire can still just work fine right?

Most people who are effected by this will still work but now they take pension from the goverment as well. No one going to pass this oppurtunity.

Elaborating on the recent debate of brain drain from Türkiye, Erdoğan said he supported the idea of young people going abroad in a bid to improve their capacities“A segment of our country knows no bounds in exploiting every issue. One of them is the issue of brain drain... We are not against our young minds going abroad to improve themselves, we support this,” he said.

One of the biggest reasons for China’s success is the contribution of young people who go to study abroad and return to their country with the experiences they have gained there, the president note

The government is also taking important steps through TÜBİTAK, and the government aims to make Türkiye a center of attraction for scientists all over the worl

“Thanks to our returning researchers, we are reversing the brain drain,” he sai

The value the government attaches to the people who do scientific studies, develop technology and products is obvious, and Türkiye reaps the fruits of these investments in science and technology in every field, the president emphasize

It is essential that society knows its roots to determine where to lead its future, Erdoğan sai

“Once upon a time, scientists around the world were coming out of our heartland; Ali Kuşçu, Hezerfen Ahmet Çelebi, İbni Sina, Hayyam... But then, we experienced a period of stagnation in science and technology studies. Now we are ending this interregnum period, and we are rearing up in science and technology,” he state

“This geography will once again become one of the leading centers of science and technology. We trust the Teknofest generation. Our scientists and young people give us this hope,” Erdoğan add
ed.d.d.d.d.d.d. Erdoğan added.

Both Erdogan and Kılıçdaroğlu pushed this together. Enough is enough old populist politicians should just disappear from politics.

For decades! "Turkiye", advisors, diplomats from Turkiye criticised TRNC for early retirement shit, unorganized social security system, all economic protocols targeted that and retirement age pushed to 60s in TRNC, wages lowered etc.. Which was absolutely the right thing.

Now that same Turkiye is doing even worse, this is nuts... the future of the next generation is just got destroyed.. In TRNC, we are still paying early retirements of previous generations in TRNC, suffering for that shit... due to the war and suffering in 1970s they let 40 year old people to get retired in 1980s, those bastards still withdrawing salaries without working, they worked 20 year and getting paid for 30 year without working!, and still in their 70s!! will be paid another decade! Can you imagine that, a 45 year old guy gets retired, may be lifespan increases and he lives at least another 45 years! he works 25 year and get paid for whole life, not only salaries! social security, health expenses.. WHO will gonna pay this.. future generations, you guys who started working after 1999 will work until may be your 65 and pay those people's salaries, this is betrayal, unbelievable.. and ONE guy's addiction to power gonna destroy country's future. Whoever wins the election will pay this shit because it won't be reversible, the economy is doomed now, inflation will be eternal.

He also called these people "ungrateful" and suggested state should pay the plane tickets to get rid of them.

So yeah, so much for his words.

Total Turkish exports in 2022 passed the 250 billion $ target and Turkiye achieved a yearly export revenue of 254,2 billion $. The export target should be set at 275 billion for the next year. (%9.8 year-on-year increase)

Let's also mention that the imports for the year are 364$ billion which means that Turkey has a trade deficit for 2022 of a whopping 110$ BILLION DOLLARS!

What an amazing achievement indeed...

Imports were increased much more than export, meanwhile 1 dollar is 18.72 TL which means 1.88 trillion TL of trade deficit which is insane.

You'r right but the trade data is secondary. What counts is the current account deficit which is still high but not as high as the trade deficit.

The current account deficit is estimated to be 45 billion USD for 2022. Still very high but, honestly, not a number that couldn't be lowered significantly with the right policies in place.

However, 2023 is election year. Expecting worse.

No 3 trade deficit in the world 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
110$ billion trade deficit in a year, 2.5 million new retirees that will suck dry hundreds of billions of Turkish liras from the state coffers, big increases in the minimum wages and the wages of state employees, decreasing interests while the official inflation is 90%... And all that months before an election. Erdogan is ready to bankrupt the country. We were laughing at Greece back in the days but they at least have countries to help them out and lend them money... Turkey will be fucked Venezuela/Zimbabwe style soon.

You talk like the economy has not taken a nosedive since 2013.
What more do you want, that the people return to village barracks?

The only time people had difficulty getting along was in the heat of the pandemic. Even then Türkiye fared better than most nations.

An your claim is based on what? The fact that Erdogan claims that Germans envy Turks?
