Some 193,000 Turks living in Germany returned permanently to Turkiye between 2007 and 2011, according to a study conducted by the Germany-based Turkish European Foundation for Education and Scientific Studies (TAVAK).

Young Turkish origin migrants are increasingly returning to Turkiye due to high unemployment, discrimination and better economic chances, said Professor Faruk Şen, the president of the board of TAVAK. He added that the figures indicated that Europe should not be concerned about a population flock from Turkiye if visas restrictions are lifted.

The last time when Turkish economy was good

Turkish in west loves their motherland and will come back when situation becomes better
I know people who returned to Turkey and came back to Switzerland after things went downhills since 2016.

KSA planning to invest 3.3 TRILLION USD in Turkiye towards 2030. That is nearly 500 BILLION USD a year!
If you read the shared news-piece carefully, it says that KSA will invest 3.3 Trillion dollars within their national strategic investment plan. Within the scope of this plan, there will be joint ventures with Turkey in certain areas.
It doesn’t say there will be 3.3 trillion dollar invested in Turkey. Please get the gist of the news right and don’t misdirect.

KSA will invest 3.3 trillion $ all around the world. We don't know how much of this money will make its way to Turkiye.

A dark day for Turkiye's economy. Abled men at 42(who has started working in or before 1999) can retire now.

Still trying to process this.
This happens when you live in a democratic system with the majority of the population being as educated as the next village donkey. Unfortunately, the opposition, too, was pushing for this decision. The whole system is rotten to its core.

Kılıcdaroglu too pushing for this since last week.Another democracy at its best moment. :poop:
Yes. This "dumbest" idea was pushed by him. And all that for elections. With a single signature, the youth, the working class has to shoulder the burden of more than 2 million people in a single day.

I'm really bummed. The governing party and the opposition are no different from each other. There is only one ruler of this country. And that is populism, unfortunately.

Turkey is absolutely f*cked up as a country with a lazy and uneducated society like that. Because it is the society that creates the politicians and not the other way around. AKP, CHP etc- all of them are a bunch of corrupts.

How can you give a right for retirement to people that are not even 40-45 years old- young men and women that are just now in their best years as workers and professionals. Just to win some votes you take precious workers and taxpayers out of the workforce and put another 2,3 million leeches to suck dry the already strained state coffers. Which economist in the Government or the Opposition even thought that this is a good idea? I want to see them and spit in their face because they don't have brains and are destroying Turkey on purpose.

Doesnt it just give them the option of retirirng? If that is the case, then those who doesnt want to retire can still just work fine right?
Wont be many people with the salaries that the Turkish workforce earns these days.
