The Commission helps to shape the EU's overall strategy, proposes new EU laws and policies, monitors their implementation and manages the EU budget. It also plays a significant role in supporting international development and delivering aid. It also speaks on behalf of all EU countries in international bodies, in particular in areas of trade policy and humanitarian aid and negotiates international agreements for the EU

So it is either to stand with Hamas killers or Western genociders? Meanwhile they aid the PKK and any anti-Turkey enemy out there.....

Woow, just woow
Someone needs to tell them to shut the fq up and that each nation can chose its destiny. Turkey believes both sides at fault and this is the right way to go

My ancestors built the Seljuks, Ottomans and numerous other Turkic Empires.

We spanned from the Gates of Vienna to Siberia.

I think my ancestors know better. We choose no side but only following our destiny.

Erdogan is saying strange things in his speeches, acting like the US is sending the aircraft carriers to invade TR.

This is for domestic politics of course, the voterbase, as part of the strategy to build hatred of the west, but it will have an impact in relations with the west for sure as they are listening.

Looking at the previous statements of the US and EU, it seems they have already decided whose side TR is on.

Dangerous foreign policy by Erdogan, even just sanctions would put the country below Iran, maybe Pakistan. Even just cutting all the aid money would severely harm the country

"Invasion" word comes to me very funny. To invade a country with 85m population and almost 800k km2 should be a bit tough. :D
US does not need any excuse in order to send a troop or armada to anywhere across the world. She has capable of doing that in any matter.
Especially, sending CVS duty group to a limited waters unlike ocean (like Mediterranean sea) is too risky to protect for itself especially against a powerful country in terms of every aspect like Turkiye.

TR's power is not even comparable to the US, TR is comparable to regional actors like Iran, Israel, Egypt. US is several leagues beyond.

US military has almost a trillion dollars in spending per year

TR is not even 20 billion...they spend around the same as the just the US coastguard

Building and operating one carrier strike group for one year is $28 billion dollars, more than TR military budget in a year. America has 9 of these.

The US military force is unmatched, except maybe someday by rising China.

800 US military bases around the globe, greatest air force and navy, military technology leader, most experienced in combined arms warfare, formidable C4ISR.

What happened to Türkiye‘s defence budget? -26% from 2021 to 2023 at $10.6 bill. ranked 23rd worldwide.

Unmached really?
We are not living in 1980 anymore
Today with modern tech and that US big aircraft carrier will blow up beyond repair .
Its very easy for at least top 10 countries in tech to build sea drones undetected that cam stay for days to wait enemy ships and blow them up .
Just like Turkiye with Watozz project and UÇA mine

When will the Unmatched US force help you to wipe out the poor DPRK?

So, when did an enemy blew up a US carrier group? Even if a combatant could manage this task, that poor adversary will be stomped to dust by US air power as consequence.

They could have nuked China to rubble in 1950, MacArthur even planned it. It wasn‘t worth it for them in a proxy war like Korea or guerilla war in Vietnam backed by China and Soviet Union.

Nobody wants to wipe out a nuclear state like North Korea. The South wants them to behave not annihilate them. They are Koreans, not some foreign folks.

Nice try provoking and baiting a flame war here. You racist slurs against East Asians are well known to me. Bye, on my ignore list.

Racist slur? Few days ago you were so excited that Palestinian people will die in masses.

You‘re projecting. Don‘t put words in my mouth or insinuate intentions.

Taking sides with Israel in killing Hamas terrorists ain‘t being „excited that Palestinians will die in masses.“

Didn’t you stated excitement about a urban battle of Hamas with IDF in Gaza City?

Where will that airpower come from?
AC will be demaged by Wattoz like smart mine around 2000 km away and other weapons . Airbases around europe and Middle east will be targeted with all kind of weapons from small one to Big MRBM
Aslo Turkiye will have advance SAMs that can take out most missiles .
Only Kinzhal type weapons can attack but it cost so much and will not do a big demage only if US have 100k of them .
We aslo can bomb US mainland and their factories . We can use submarines , commercial big cointeiners with houndreds of missiles and agents with drones etc

This is USS America. It is a Kitty Hawk class vessel. Last of its kind conventionally powered 84000 ton super carrier. Launched in 1964 and decommissioned in 1996. Sunk in 2005.
It took US airforce over 25 days of heavy bombing to sink her. How it was sunk and what took it to be sunk is classified. Even then the superstructure was still afloat albeit mostly submerged.
That is the quality of engineering that goes in to building these super carriers. They are built in such modular formation that flooding a chamber is not enough to cause cascade flooding to get the ship to sink. The newer ships are built with experience gained in the sinking of USS America.

As well as carrying numerous defensive weapons on board like ASW helicopters, Sonars, CWIS and ESSM air defence missiles, a super carrier is accompanied by around 10 ships that form the strike group which are responsible for protecting the carrier. These include destroyers frigates and nuclear submarines, with SAMs of the most modern types that are effective for any threat the strike group may encounter.

Anything less than a nuclear strike, is not going to have much effect to make a dent in this armour.
There are 11 strike groups like this in the US Navy. With a further 5 shown as retired. But most probably, to be ready in the event of an emergency, for active duty. (USS JF Kennedy being readied for joining the naval forces in 2025. )

Anyone thinking that they can take on such a fighting power head on and win, with current technology is having a pipe dream. There will be chinks in its armour that could be exploited. But it is not an easy task to accomplish by any account.
