I consider myself a Tengriist
Better than Athiest to be honest.
At least you believe in something.
Believing in something gives somebody a sense of purpose.

I consider myself a Tengriist
This is the issue with Islam or maybe Muslims. An atheist person can say that religions are hoax there is no God etc. It's not insult it's a persons personal view.
I am an agnostic, tho there are times I want to believe something higher, having an after life and bad people to be punished after life. But can not be sure.Eventhough Diamond Tema is a grifter.
I havent been praying properly my dad makes it a big deal out of it. His like you will burn in hell this and that.
I cant believe it a Albanian grifter is now making more sense. But no I dont see myself as an Athiest.
Turks deep down barely practice their religion properly a lot of the religious ones all act high and mighty. Then they complain why the youth are rebelling.

I respect people have their faith in their own way. Just hate people telling others what to do or not because their belief is against it. Not everybody have to live according to others belief.
So let me ask you this question. Do you call yourself a Muslim or an atheist? If you consider yourself an atheist, I have no other questions.

generalizations are always the wrong way to follow and an indication of bias but still I am gonna be honest with you bro...they have impressive production capacity and therefor impressive economical power... yet you are never observing the manifestation of the DNA of a Super power... all you see is widespread corruption everywherethey are racist

Tengri literally means God. In that case you're basically a Godist (theist) ? If not, what are the differences between theism and tengrism? I'm genuinely curious.I consider myself a Tengriist
Tengri doesn't just mean god, it represents the universe as a whole. You could say it's a personification of the universe.Tengri literally means God. In that case you're basically a Godist (theist) ? If not, what are the differences between theism and tengrism? I'm genuinely curious.

Some major components of Tengrism are:
Ancestor worship: Respecting your ancestors, for it was through their struggles that you exist. Respect, for your ancestors gives you both guidance and purpose.
Animism: Anything can contain a soul/spirit. Including trees, mountains and certain man-made objects
Shamanism: Shamans play a big role in Tengrism, they act as messengers between reality and other realms of existence.
There's a lot more to it, would love to explain more when I'm not busy.
Tengrism and Ancient Turkic mythology/symbols
Tengrism is the original religion of the Turks. In Tengrism there is only one god, Tengri. Tengri is the eternal blue sky. However there are also other deities. The values which Turks live by today, are remnants from Tengrism. There are some practices, such as tying colourful ribbons on trees...defencehub.live
Lets continue the conversation in that Tengri thread? I'd also like to explore what @Yasar_TR mentioned, similarities in theologies search for truth etc in the various civilisations (from bronze to iron to modern age, once we figured out farming and had the time for civilisational order/hierarchies and then larger pondering questions in the "beyond").
Allowed. I was thinking of dedicating a whole section to those types of topics, if I can fix my computer on Friday night I'll create it. In the meantime, feel free to open a theology thread in the General section. That thread is too specific. Broader discussions of distinct theological developments in different parts of the world won't be appropriate there. We need a general thread if admins allows.
