Turkey and Pakistan have always had their differences which were swept under the rug. For example, in Syria, there are some Pakistanis who fight in jihadist groups and even for Assad/pro-Iran/pro-Russia/anti-Turkey groups as soldiers for hire. And Pakistan directly co-operates with China to screw over Uyghurs, including deporting those who escaped back into the CCP's "loving" hands. These don't get reported much, for obvious reasons. In Afghanistan, it's gonna be interesting because if Erdogan really is gonna position himself as the anti-Taliban savior of Afghans, he'll be directly butting heads with Pakistan in the area. And this time, it's not gonna be possible to ignore Turkey and Pakistan being on opposing sides.

Pakistan has disowned them. Many Pakistanis I remember on PDF had no problem with Pakistanis fighting as Iranian proxies getting blown up by Turkish drones. Many even said their citizenships should be revoked.

Uygurs is a problem between both. Honestly how many people are willing to go against China??

When it came to problems between both it was usually swept under the rug. No side wanted to sacrifice relations between each other.

And no value was lost. The only thing these Islamists-Pakistanis are good for is ruining the comment section of every platform on the internet, especially Youtube.

:ROFLMAO: ....well there is also certain guy in this forum that:

A) Keeps implying he is Turk (we Turks, our Turkish F-16s etc etc)

B) States origin flag as "Dutch" though... (something a proud "we" Turk would do?)

C) Shown quick detailed ability to translate Hindu/Urdu videos (with his biased twist on it ofc)

At some point someone should try have Turkish convo with him (if he has guts for it) in say cay bachesi :D...I mean I suppose it is possible to find a few Turks (that prefer dutch flag to Turk one for origin) that have good knowledge and understanding of Hindu/Urdu :p and tick all the other behaviour patterns of this certain guy

...i.e stuff like deep habitual ingrained behaviour to instant hit like on anything pro-wumao and/or anti-india.....and laugh emote spam on indian section till he got a talking to...and now spends time spamming typical luv-talibun stuff in afghan war thread.

At any rate, whatever this guy is in end (who cares as long as he provides good larping entertainment at his full expense), the broader types you speak of (various equivalents of fanboy simps that have various identity crisis and complex) sure are funny to everyone else in end, and any layer of makeup and disguise they use adds to it...

A lot of us seen a lot of it already in an earlier forum. So no surprise a few have strayed here and stuck on same addictive game (with all the typical predictable highlight reels) for them.

Unfortunately you Turks broadly do not understand where it comes from (and I doubt you and most others outside subcontinent truly can or will), as you Turks didn't face anywhere near same situation and lived experience (in last 50 - 100 years of nationstate "identity" birthing relative to the centuries preceding) of the underlying complex, paranoia and emotionalism of real scale that drives it

Compared to that, the visceral/cringey elements are what are far easier to pick up on....especially if one's own nation state is founded on better type of grounded nationalism and secularism.

Anyway this is a long circus and circus-freak topic to get into.....but its so big some large number of typical cringey clowns (that form the circus bulk) will find their way to you (or holler in spectacle wherever they find and decide to gather outside the circus tent) anyway especially on internet where theres lot of freedom and ease to clown around in general.

It could be both.

Turkey and Pakistan usually been the opposite when it came to Afghanistan for decades it was usually kept behind close doors and now its become more public.

Who has Erdogan not pissed off lately 🤣

During the rift between the Gulf and Turkey, the Malaysia summit, Pakistan did a political no show this was swept under the table too. On the Uyghur issue, they claim they are terrorists back by a western conspiracy, the Turkish public is starting to see this.

Afghanistan development will be interesting, a stable Afghanistan is in our interest, already Twitter and the other forum issuing threats to Turkey. We are talking about a street that changes its views overnight and a country that changes camp every two decades.

Turkey should stay much more neutral to south-east Asia affairs, I see increasing and positive developments with Bangladesh, we could also work with India in a lot of fields.

I like Nuland pretending like they'd remove the sanctions even if Turkey gave away the S-400s tomorrow. Or re-admit Turkey into the F-35 program again.
I agree.
In fact, The US was looking for excuses here and there to expel turkey before they bought the S400 in the first place; lets not forget that Israel strongly protested the presence of F35 jets in Turkey and said that it would destabilise the region. I believe in 2016, Benjamin Natenyahu said that he will do everything he can to prevent Turkey from getting the F35!
Now even if the S400s are gone, they will just postpone the F35 re-enrollment until Israel becomes satisfied

Angela Merkel doesn’t think Turkey can become a EU member. I think She’s being honest because she’s stopping. Have to appreciate it. She also praises Turkey for taking the Syrian refugees.

They, former EU leaders all say the same when they leave office, only our leftists think otherwise.

Dont forget liberals.

OIC has lots of Christian majority countries lmaooooo

Despite being a organisation for Muslim countries. But the EU is scared shitless just to include Turkey, Albania and Bosnia.

North Macedonia was also rejected due to its Turkish and Albanian population.

No big loss. Do you really want Turkey to lose its sovereignty to the whims of some bureaucrats in Brussels?

Turkey is already being used as the gatekeeper of Europe, the last thing it needs is to become a slave to the EU. Norway was smart enough not to join because they read the subtext and the UK left even though the government was running 24/7 "Brexit bad" propaganda with support from every political hack across the spectrum.

And Switzerland was smartest of all because they didn't join but negotiated all the beneficial trade deals anyway. Because they are Switzerland.

No matter what turkey does, it will never join the EU
Currently turkey has an industrial capacity, young workforce, and a stronger economy than many small EU countries; yet, they couldnt join the EU
Erdo said b4 that EU doesnt want Turkey because turks are muslims

The EU will never accept turkey; however, they will keep turkey at an arms length (by making them a candidate) in case they needed them. It is pointless to beg your tail towards them always. Just act amicably until your army gets strong and they (the EU) themselves will come to you then and ask you to join

Honestly I will be surprised if the EU survives another 25 years. The UK left, rise of the far right and anti-EU sentiment keeps growing within EU nations. To make matters worse as the world moves in a multipolar direction, many euro states are pursuing their own interests at the expense of their euro neighbours.

Personally i will be happy to see this organisation fade away. It won't survive russian and british meddling. Russia was already playing a big hand in financing and supporting politics and media within europe that is anti EU. As for the UK she will return to type and constantly work to undermine european unity as she has done for the past 300 years.

Its also worth pointing out that Turkey from 10 million a hundred years ago is now 90 million. Turkey will also play her part in pursuing her interests within the balkans and black sea region.

I see Europe returning to her historic character of the big powers all taking their piece of the cake as was the case for the past 1000 years.

Is it me or did the Tone of the Turkish Foreign Policy towards the Aegis change drastically ?

MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENSE HULUSİ AKAR:
"We expect our Greek neighbors to strive for peaceful and political solutions, not aggressive ones, and to contribute to our efforts to solve the problems here."

The US treasury has sanctioned one of the large components of SNA, Ahrar Sharqiya, for violations. This comes under counter terrorism.

The reasons listed here:

"OFAC is also sanctioning Syrian armed group Ahrar al-Sharqiya, which operates in northern Syria, for abuses against civilians, and is also sanctioning two of the group’s leaders. Ahrar al-Sharqiya has committed numerous crimes against civilians, particularly Syrian Kurds, including unlawful killings, abductions, torture, and seizures of private property. The group has also incorporated former Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) members into its ranks. These horrific acts compound the suffering of a population that has repeatedly endured mass displacement."

Some serious accusations here, including some unsaid. Later the US will say Turkey is paying the salary of and using former ISIS fighters.

They also sanctioned Assad intelligence officials.

Turkey needs to act docile for now
Just until the trade deal gets renewed, army gets more advanced weaponry, and the lira gets stronger (through economic independence and not foreign hot money)

Only then can you act extremely aggressive towards those guys
The latest skirmish proved that the lira is like 70% dependent on hot money from foreign forex traders an investors which isnt a good thing tbh
So acting docile rn will preserve the lira for a bit while keepimg the opposition from spouting nonesense in stuff other than migration (not that i completely agree with them on this point either but i can relate to them at least)

Turkey should carry on with nationalisation until imports become nearly worthless to turkish ppl
