How are they planning to replenish the missiles? From the sides via hydraulic hatches? That makes the 2 hatches for each bay, leading to 4 hatches and lids. Pop-up launchers sounds more reasonable for this kind of a boat too.

Is there any existing logistic capability to transfer missiles that high and then transfer sideways into the missile bay?
Unfortunately, there's not much information to answer your questions that I know of, so we can only assume for now.

There are two on top of my mind showing lateral launcher, one was early-early concept, with different rear superstructure from the production version (no rhib cave, flat with two lateral twin launcher ala diponegoro-class exocet launcher) and the latter the supposed 'improved' design with main gun in front of the bridge (with internal missile launcher at the back).

If viewed from the front/rear, that early concept and SAAB's proposed version looks like "^" right? There was another concept drawing showing the launchers arranged to form an "X" or "V".

Glad they didn't choose any of these arrangements.

There are, it is fan-made design if I'm not mistaken. Though it's been so long my memory could have fail me there, CMIIW.

They planned to equip NSM on smoll fast missile boat with length of 19 meters and speed 55 knots. The missiles will be controlled by bigger ships with more complete equipment such as radar.

I guess the 19 meters platform (Antasena class?) will be used only to bring missiles near the target on many direction for saturate attack?

Remind me some of the MoD unmanned surface vessels program, better to have them equipped with NSM as part of network centric system. To have an LHD accompanied by several destroyer or AAW Frigates and from their well deck launching several USV capable to launching AShM and from their deck is several TB 3 is ready with their armaments is quite lethal to me

A swarm saturated attack of USV with AshM sounds great. Better use USV rather than manned craft. And make the design as stealth as possible.

Tho such small craft will be hard to be used on rough sea and far from shore. So they can be used only when the enemy has come inside Indonesia shore.

They should be integral part of LHD or LPD units or being launched from large combatant like Destroyer though, so they would increasing the firepower distribution and lethality....

The question is, can such small craft survive on rough sea far from shore with high sea state level once it's launched from LPD/LHD/destroyer? I believe those cute smoll craft will sink immediately once launched on high level sea state. And of course, enemy can use this chance to launch attack because most of our ships cannot handle high level sea state.

Remember Overlord Luhut complained that our Martadinata-class ship can't survive on rough sea state hence the requirement for 140+ m length ship for our future frigate?

How about we change USV with UAV to bring AshM? I think UAV can be used more freely.

They would not that stupid to release the Boats during heavy rain storm or Typhoon or whatever rough seas you mentioned, nor they would not that stupid to Ignore weather forecast beforehand....

Even if they must do it because whatever reason they had, those USV is only unmanned assets, they are Expendables

Behind the mast is possibly reserved for VERTEG*, vertical logistic transfer via helicopters, when needed.

*VERTREP, VERTical REPlenishment
That can be done on a helipad not near some tall structure that will be hazardous for the propeller.

Not always on helipad, for example VERTREP on Burke class destroyer can be done on helipad and forward of her main gun, especially if they transferring main gun ammunition using VERTREP methods, they have to use the forward VERTREP location to be able to transfer and reload the magazine.

Agreed, the space behind the mast on KRI Golok would not be feasible for VERTREP methods, the radar and signal mast there are hazard for any sling load operation, not to mention for the helicopter itself.

Nah, those are regular access hatch as you expect, while the square grey thing is a vent of some kind.

Just for information, i have seen marine pilots delivering replenishment / equipments in tighter spaces while the target is moving (considering the mast).

I still kinda wish that they can somehow fit a few cells of short/medium-range VL SAM inside that long bow.
Can't do, that long bow are full of provision for crew accommodation and the ship anchor mechanism.

Just because someone successfully done it does not automatically mean it was inherently safe either.

Those who observe TNI parade at Banten know what I mean. Sh*t happens.

the cutout for NSM launcher hatch can already be seen, looks like it will be 2x4 (8 canister) setup with launcher facing the bow/front.

i hope they replace the yugoslavian 20mm with oerlikon millenium instead.
Yeah with millennium gun it can be used against surface and air target (for self defense), not sure if the roof able to handle the weigh maybe for future design OR just go with the newest design with bofors 57mm (stealthy design) and let this boat as is.

Is it okay to go straight for 2x4 launcher and not 2x1 first for coba2?

I still kinda wish that they can somehow fit a few cells of short/medium-range VL SAM inside that long bow.
How about mistral?
Or have bofors 57mm automatic gun / millennium gun.

KRI Halasan 630 Bofors 57 mm gun instalation progress. They would get Bofors 57 mm gun, Exocet, decoy and chaff from therma, supposed 20 mm gun from yugoimport (still doesn't know why we don't pursue license producing agreement for that kind of gun) and couple of .50 cal heavy machine gun.

This should become standard specs for newer KCR60, its okay if they want to try NSM for the Ashm tho.
