Submarine rescue vessel is a must have in the near future.

Does the new ship from Germany will have this capability? The plan was for a ship with rescue + mine warfare ship right?
dont really think frankenthal class have capability for a dedicated submarine rescue .

we need thing such as this

Only basic rescue and searching capability just like what Rigel can do right now.

Meanwhile dedicated Submarine rescue vessels is rather large

+ They are equipped with multiple bow and aft thruster and additional azimuth pod + podded propellers for dynamic positioning level II-III. Also can provide life support to the submarines and conduct rescue operations, hosts an hospital for treatment of rescued submariners ( pressurized chambers + chem/rad decontamination rooms, operating room and ICU, etc)

Basic huh? Should be large, maybe we should get the one with electric propulsion that can be rotated, able to carry and store inside the ship DSRV, medical treatment stuff, maybe a moon pool.
But that would be expensive,
We already sign an agreement with SG for resource sharing, we can ask for their help if we need it, until we get our own.
Masuk wishlist dulu.

Indonesia won't be needing such a complex submarine rescue vessel anytime soon. At best Indonesia Navy will only operate a dozen SSK in total. Thus, there won't be any need for rad decon onboard facility. Furthermore the western half of Indonesia water are shallow water (150' depth in average)

Look at the background
first time i saw this, this is what crossed at my mind

so, the exercise are canceled and by that means we can't show off our navy power at natuna. now we need some clever PR thing to make indonesians proud to their navy

*indonesian navy* use martadinata class main cannon and ciws as a background

What i have told is like basics for a submarine rescue vessel anyway (Life support device, Dynamic positioning etc), tonnage and level of DP can be adjusted according to the Navy's need.
Not the submarine, since assuming it was a lost-can not be retrieved, a trained submarine crew costs a lot more than a singe capable rescue vessel. So it doesn't matter whether it is a single submarine or a dozen of submarines in a fleet.
This kind of vessels are like insurance, it is not needed and it is waste of money, until it is actually needed.

Probably one of these costs as much as the corvette from Damen, probably less.

All defence are basically an insurance. You might not use it, but it's nice to know that you have one when you need it.

The basic configuration rescue ship is needed, but no more than one However, the full-blown rescue ship with rad decon facility + onboard hospital facility that can handle around more than 50 patient is definitely won't be needed in any foreseeable future. I do however believe there is a serious need for DSRV along with the associate ROV

SBE 41 is an instrument by sea -bird scientific, any commoner can get equipment with all technical papers. It is a CTD instrument. Even student glider teams can order a large batch of these, but moreover SBE 41 is not optimized for Gliders.

While, The part is more likely this* which is called glider payload module-GPCTD (Glider Payload Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) which is the main item purchased for a glider, in some conditions a team can choose to make their own CTD housing or protrude the sensor as per their wish, with custom standalone sensors:
*
It is not an ADCP -Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler, but a profiling equipment, used for profiling of CTD, (and whatever sensor can be installed in payload module, pH, oxygen, nitrate saturation etc. if it fits). Moreover, it is not made by SLOCUM, but by SeaBird Scientific, a specialized version of GPCTD was installed on SLOCUM Gliders.
And once more, these are not the actual sensors, but the part which provides a continuous uniform flow into/through sensors fitted into the module.

There is no reason these wouldn't be sold to China, or in fact being manufactured in China like most of the sensor parts. They wouldn't need to copy it but can directly purchased from the manufacturer.

these are quite common or in fact low-level scientific measurement instruments, so what is vital is decryption of GPS and INS to data to figure out where the glider was deployed at and from which location it was dropped at sea. And getting Iridium or Beidou subscription information to figure out the owner.
