They will exhibit all their skills in the field and demand accordingly

After the field tests, it will be determined from which company or companies the 3 thousand vehicles needed will be purchased. We ask what it means to make these choices, which were made on paper in the past, this time on the field:

“We are talking about a method that will definitely be very efficient in areas where we have more than one ambitious manufacturer, such as land vehicles. Both the reliability of the tenders will increase, as the offers will not remain on paper, and the results will be seen in advance.

This was first explained at the Land Vehicles Seminar in 2018. An official from one of our producers who spoke at the seminar said, “We are satisfied with the competition procedure. This is how we get all our tenders abroad.' He showed his satisfaction and stated that they were confident in themselves.

Normally, because the tenders were on paper and many products were developed specifically for the tenders, the outputs could not meet the requirements completely. In other words, the firm sets high targets when making the offer, and some issues may not be at the desired level after the contract is signed. The competition method will be a major factor in minimizing this risk.”

The best will win The positions of

BMC, FNSS and Otokar in the fairground are very close to each other. With Fatih Mehmet Küçük, we are walking towards a place where we can see them all from a wide angle. Meanwhile, he continues to convey some details about the competition.

For example, we learn that the vehicle turrets in the ZMA configuration will be the 35 mm KORHAN turret developed by ASELSAN . Therefore, companies will only compete with their platforms. Many factors such as the strength of these vehicles, which are similar to each other in terms of weight and dimensions, maintenance and repair costs, and user convenience, will be examined.

We see candidates with 8x8 wheels at the fair… BMC's Altuğ, FNSS's PARS and Otokar's Arma are before us. Küçük says that all three models are equipped with highly advanced systems and are not inferior to their competitors in the world. Underlining that one of the most important points here is the cost, he said, “There are also heavier vehicles with different features in the world. However, they are produced in extremely limited numbers due to their astronomical cost. The important thing is to achieve the balance of cost and effect with optimum designs. Our companies do this very well,” he says.

One User says Tests will Start next Month According to Representatives at OTOKAR (IDEF21).

So Altug is still alive. So we are waiting for Altug to be ready.

I hope we are only waiting for Altug to give a chance for BMC to enter competition. Not for giving the project to BMC with a bogus competition.

Lets see what bmc has to offer.

I feel like the tender should go to FNSS.

Ynhza project is not waiting for Altug they are waiting for fnss and for local engines. Apparently fnss decided to review their submission, they will not offer pars IV but a newly designed vehicle. This is at least the rumours I've heard.

Altug looking sexy af while being continously tested in highways. Dude says it was doing 140km/h, hopefully BMC also developed a more powerful version of azra engine for ifv version.
Looks like sh*t this vehicle is the reason why Ynzma project didn't started because they are close to goverment. Otokar arma already is a worthy IFV not this altuğ shit that is only here because of politics

Let's also note that Otokar integrates a high rate of foreign subsystems and components into its vehicles

Whereever possible Tümosan powerpack should be used in deliveries. Support them so that they can develop bigger powerpacks.

It can happen we call be trigger happy and misunderstand and post something different.

About Tümosan delivering Marine engine to ULAQ SIDA.

But the last news was in March 2022, and they were going to be doing tests in August this year.

540 HP powerpack, I really hope they succeed and they get chosen.

Why isn't there a co-ordination system in place to get all these companies to support each-other to develop engines ? So tümosan failed, they gave the project to BMC which we haven't heard any good news for a while and it might fail. Why not create a joint project under a new company.

Tümosan gave no project to BMC
With the tank engine development program Tümosan had years ago won the project to develop a tank engine. Tümosan partnered with an Austrian company but the Austrian government placed an embargo. So Tümosan failed to fulfil the plan on time and despite their asking for additional time due to the embargo SSM cancelled to contract.

Strange thing is that SSB never cancelled contract with BMC despite non delivery for years (Altay serial production, Leopard 2A4 modernization)

You won't get twice the success when you put two engine companies togather. Probably it will not give any additional productivity while they will get only half the money each. So, better alone than togather I guess.
