I wish army would just order a hundred of these in 40 mm remote controlled turret configuration to start with, while they make up their mind about what the fuck they want from an IFV, so that it can be upgraded into Alpha Mk2 later on and get it in other configurations as well. Just get something ffs.
No

Guys I remember MKE was supposed to deliver 50 E-ZMA to TSK like 2 years ago. What happened to this?

*I am not joking*

If you're talking about the one on the right, second on from the top that is a 120mm double barrel mortar, I'm guessing that one because that is the only one with a different turret. There is no mention of a double barrel 40mm on FNSS's brochure, check the 5th page of the pdf I shared, all the configurations are also shown there.
Thanks for the correction and twin mortar is new to me, but yes the diameter looks way more than 35mm. i have been somewhat expecting a twin-forty on a wheeled platform after they have developed the Turkish twin-forty, for close-in defences.

I had to double check the double barrel mortar as well, but was pleasantly surprised lol twin 40mm would be nice, but then again, unless I'm mistaken only twin barrel autocannons we have are 35mm air defence guns, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Hell, I'd be glad if the army could just drop their 20/25mm fetish and pick single barrel 40mm.

I believe Government fears military coup so they're weakening TSK and let them keep the old toys and order new toys for the unit they've secured control over.

At least that's my take on it. When you think of it like that it starts making sense. Localization ratio is just an excuse, but some bootlickers like to use that as an excuse everytime.

We want 100% locally made everything if possible, we can wait if it will not take too long to make.

A sleek, good looking IFV! Does anybody know, which engine is used?

Found different sources from Scania turbocharged diesel to Cummins for lighter weight Tulpar-S version 🤷‍♂️

No plans for domestic engines? Will Otokar/Koç eventually use engines from rival BMC?
They announced last year that new 40 ton Arma II would be also offered with Ford Otosan's(part of same Koç conglomerate as Otokar) 720hp Ecotorq engine. Maybe Tulpar can also get it in the future if it's enlarged.

I'm fairly certain Serdar Görgüç (or Ufuk Aybar I cannot remember exactly) said that Ecotorq is not a military grade engine and will not be used on Tulpar. I cannot find the exact source right know, I'm scanning my sources I'll link it here once I find it.
Of course it is hard to say anything for future from our point, if circumstances requires, Otokar may adapt/modify Ecotorq for their use.

Tulpar has three different engine configuration (as Mr. Ufuk Aybar states), those are 720, 810 and 1100 horsepower engines (again as Mr. Ufuk Aybar states). As far as I know, Tulpar has been tested with two power packs, 810 and 720 horsepower engines. 810 horsepower engine is probably Scania DSI 16, it is stated in several websites though I could not find proper source for that, and 720 horsepower engine Caterpillar (likely C13 or CT13) coupled with Allison transmission system (likely 4500SP or 4800SP) as stated by Mr. Ufuk Aybar during his interview in SAHA Expo 2022.

Although there is no concrete information about when and/or which engine were tested, we can speculate from the bits of interviews. In İDEF 2021, Mr. Serdar Görgüç said that they are presenting a Tulpar with new power pack, in his interview. Again in İDEF 2021, Mr. Metin Sağlam said the Tulpar they're presenting is fitted with a 720 horsepower engine in his interview. If we draw a timeline we could say that pre-2021 Tulpar was tested with 810 horsepower engine and after 2021 switched to 720 horsepower one.

I just wonder if the GURZ turret can be mounted on the Pars-Alpha?
