Well, things are relative, Maybe if we had a capable administration in the last 20 years, it would now be way better. It is really a question of how much impact the league we are in having to achieve our goals. Are we able to impose our will in Mavi Vatan? How about Syria? So we are still ineffective. It is always too little, and too late….
I think Türkiye is overall spreading too thin, we're in too many other countries problems involved. If these fuckers want to kill each other, why give a shit. I couldn't care less about anyone who isn't a Turk nation or very close at least.

First of all, we are not a Superpower. We do not have the population, economy or the technology for that. So, instead of trying to stick our nose in every fucking problem of other countries who are failed nations anyway, focus on the problems inside and in front of us.

That will benefit the Country more.

After the mistake during Arab Spring in Syria, now it is difficult not to get involved there. But I agree with you in a sense. We should have pushed for technological advancement, military independence, and trade relations with other countries. We should have never been vocal about neo ottomanism, Blue Land doctrine, not follow an islamist agenda, not threaten Europe, and Israel. In Gazza we should have only highlighted humanitary aspect and never support Hamas. In such a scenario, we would have all the weapons we want from US and we would easily have per capita GNP 30000$ now. US and Europe would be using us as a partial China replacement to produce goods and even weapons for them. Of course, to get real rich we need to increase our sphere of influence but we could have done this in a low key manner. Gradually, though they would have accepted us as another main power. Just like they had to accept China.

Indeed, our early involvement in Libya, Syria, Somalie etc. did not bring any benefit to us. In Libya we were not strong enough to push back Russia and Egypt, in Somalia we are fighting with UAE. We should get involved in such places if we are strong enough and then push to the very end and not be satisfied with half done things. That is, once we get in, even Russia should know, ok that place is now gone.

Nothing will happen, not until Erdogan is removed.

It's been 5 years since an operation in Syria. All bark no bite, a humiliation ritual at this point.
This isnt an Erdogan problem; it is a US problem
The SDF is hiding behind the US and it was Trump who stopped Erdogan from continuing his Syria offensive post-Idlib after 24/7 nagging from jewish and kurdish lobbies and even both Trump and Erdogan admitted that
The kurdish lobby are literally living in the pentagon and congress at this point to prevent any possible dissociation between the kurds and the US

It doesnt matter who rules Turkey since as long as they remain afraid of the US; they will never ever defeat the kurdsish radicals. That is why I said that Turkey should declare war and win it even if turned out to be bloody since whatever Turkey will pay rn will be 100 times less than what will Turkey pay in the future if the SDF gets a state

If Turkey didnt intervene in Libya and Haftar won all of the country; then Turkish claims in the Mediterranean would have been all lost

Bro, Turkey alone supported that the GNA while Haftar had the support of Italy, France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Russia; yet, Turkey not only managed to destroy Haftar's forces near the capital but also was close to destroy central Libya and take it to itself if Russia didnt threaten Turkey with stopping gas supplies

In Syria, Turkey should have entered long ago tbh. If Turkey havent entered in 2017, then the SDF would have owned Turkey by the balls through a series of tunnels spanning the whole Turkish/Syria border into kurdish-held areas in Turkey. If you think there are no consequences to such an action then you know nothing about geopolitics. Just look at the tunnels in Manbij and Tel Rifat and you will understand what kind of threat they are

Finally, you need to understand that Turkey entered such nations out of necessity! It isnt because Turkey entered earlier than it should but they didnt have any other choice but to enter otherwise Turkey would have fallen. In other words, Turkey's enemies are acting now because they know that in 7 years time, Turkey will be too big to contain; thus, they are sowing chaos now while Turkey is still developing and Turkey has no choice but to enter with whatever arsenal it has and salvage what it can
