"Upgrade cost 3,700 Money and needs 1 Oil, 3 Aluminium, 1 Uranium access on Empire."SOM Cruise missile has been made the unique unit of ''Turks'' civilization in the strategy video game ''Humankind'' made by some of the ex-developers of Sid Meier's Civilization series.

Stealthy Operative Missile
Back to the list of units The Stealthy Operative Missile Unit is special to the Turks. Unlocked by the Fighter Jets technology in the Contemporary Era. It has the Speciality Aerial Stealth.[1] From the 1950s until the 1970s, Turkey had an under-developed national defense industry. As such, its...humankind.fandom.com
I already found it weird they made Turks one of the 11 contemporary era cultures while leaving out England, South Korea etc.
But them knowing about SOM cruise missile or digging enough to discover SOM cruise missile has been a total shock for me.
In the game, any contemporary era civilization that researched the ''rocket science'' technology gets access to cruise missiles. However only Turks after researching ''fighter jets'' technology get the ability to upgrade their cruise missiles to SOM which enables player to make stealth attacks and not gain grievience points. It also upgrades strength from 62 to 70 and range from 14 to 30.
A stealth bonus makes perfect sense considering SOM-J was developed for F-35 Lightning II to carry in its internal bay, contributing to the stealth of the jet. With Turkey out of the programme, now the missile will be carried internally in Turkeys own national fighter jet TFX.
SOM is indeed one of the biggest advances in Turkish military industry in the recent years. It also has been described as the greatest of Greeces anxieties regarding the development of Turkish military industry.

Turkish BVR a2a missile Gokdogan and the WVR version Bozdogan is becoming part of the TAF inventory.
Can’t wait for the news of the Gökhan missile being in the inventory too!!
These missiles were made with AIM120 Amraam and AIM9x missiles in mind. They were to be replacement of these two. They are not quite like the replica of these. They are a bit different. We will never know the exact details. And, really, no one should! (apart from the people that should). That is the beauty of indigenous weapons.congrats
If I may ask what's the ranges for each missile according to the latest news ?

But when asked about the range issue, the engineers and technical people were very vague about it. Nevertheless they did say that “they are at least as good as the US equivalents” .
