With the mediation of Morocco, Israel promotes the uninterrupted opening of the Allenby border crossing to Jordan

Israel’s Transportation Ministry says it is working with Moroccan mediators to open the Allenby Bridge crossing between the West Bank and Jordan 24 hours a day seven days a week. This extremely popular crossing point for Palestinians, located in the Jordan Valley, is nearly 50 km west of Amman.

The statement says the moves will be implemented as soon as logistical arrangements, including recruiting more staff, are completed.

There is no immediate comment from morocco on the mediation.

Turkish news outlet Anadolu Agency quoted sources “close to the summit’s organizing committee,” confirming the absence of five other Arab leaders, including the presidents of the UAE and Lebanon, Kuwait’s Emir, the Bahraini King, and the Sultan of Oman.

The report comes after the Algerian Presidency confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) will not take part in the summit scheduled for November 1-2 in Algeria.

Today, in Algeria, Mr. Nasser Bourita participated in the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level. Minister Nasser Bourita received the Algerian president's envoy and Justice Minister, Abdelrashid Tabbi, in Rabat and he delivered "the letter of invitation addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI to attend the Arab League.

The visit is the first of its kind for a high-ranking Moroccan official since Algeria's unilateral decision to sever its relations with Morocco in 2021. Algeria closed also its airspace for Moroccan civil/Military aircraft, but still, the Moroccan foreign minister landed in Algiers.

The public Algerian channel AL24 kicks off coverage of the summit by broadcasting a falsified Arab League map excluding the moroccan Sahara

following protests by the Arab League, the Algerian public channel AL24 backpedals and posts a new map of the Arab world, this time including the Moroccan Sahara.

The Algerian public channel
@AL24newschannel is forced to apologize after falsifying the Arab League card by removing the Sahara . The channel had first corrected by posting the map including the moroccan Sahara but without any apology.

Here is a video of foreign minister of Morocco Bourita raising the issue. The arab leauge conference have already failed after all the kings, and president not attending for different reasons. Its reported that the meeting between the foreign ministere only lasted for an hour, after the failed protocol showing the full map of Morocco, and «Arab» sovereignty

Turkiye’s Ambassador to Morocco Omer Faruk Dogan conveyed his country’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, describing the Western Sahara dispute as “purely artificial.”

Dogan made his remarks during a recent interview, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic ties between Morocco and Turkiye.

“We are two brotherly countries, allies and strategic partners. Relations between Morocco and Turkey are very deep and rooted in history, dating back to the 16th century,” the diplomat said.

Commenting on his country’s position on Western Sahara, Dogan explained that the dispute is a concern for Turkiye.

“Because, in Turkey, we have a similar problem, and if there is anyone who really understands the feeling of the Moroccan authorities and people, it can only be the people and the Turkish authorities,” the ambassador said, commending Morocco’s development projects in its southern provinces.

This is a purely artificial conflict that benefits third parties whose objective is to hinder the development of the region,” he said.

Dogan also gave his opinion on the ongoing diplomatic feud between Morocco and Algeria, saying that his country is “ready to help in the process of rapprochement” between the two countries.

First time i hear Turkey being so direct about their views on the sahara. When the Ambassador Dogan said benefit «third parties» then he was refering to the ones that support the «polisario front» Algeria. Happy to see the transparent view from Turkey.

I dont think he meant Algeria but those in the background using Algeria.

Definitly! If we look at the bigger pictures then we will find other actors pulling the strings behind the scenes. However the artificial conflict dogan was refering to was related to the «western sahara». In the past, and the present the diplomatic/ and millitary war was only to hurt the growth of Morocco.

I looked at the 2020 figures just now, and India imported (from Morocco) about 1.2 billion USD worth of:

Phosphoric Acid
Mineral or chemical fertilizer
calcium phosphates

This looks to expand more soon:

The ties are growing indeed! Im reading
in moroccan media that a 30 year fertilizer agreement is close to be signed. In exchange Morocco wants cooperation in the defense industry😁

EU condemned Morocco for the first time in over 20 years regarding human rights.

The Parliament announced on Monday its decision to reconsider its relations with the EU by subjecting them to a global reassessment, aimed at taking firm and appropriate decisions, following the latest positions of the EP with regard to Morocco. Morocco cancels two important meetings related to the visit of Olivier Lecointe, Deputy Director of North Africa and the Middle East in the General Department of Armaments in the French Ministry of Defense, on January 23 and 24, as well as the convening of the joint advisory committee on judicial cooperation, which was scheduled for January 30 and 31.

A Moroccan parliamentarian reminds Europe of their human rights issues before giving lessons , and what happened during the Covid period by letting the elderly die, the issue of colonizing Africa, and conflict created by the west.

Spain takes distance from the resolution that happened in front of french president Macron.

PM Pedro Sanchez on the European Parliament resolution targeting Morocco: “It is a resolution that we did not share [..] with regard to bilateral relations between Spain and Morocco, we have very good relations”

FM Jose Manuel. returned to relations with Morocco:

"Without the cooperation of Morocco, Spain and Europe cannot dismantle the jihadist cells and stop the terrorists..."
