Gentlemen, I think we have lived for years unaware of an incredible wealth under the Gabar mountain. It is very likely that similar large wells will be found in the same region coming years.

Yes. Exploration drilling will continue in several independent oil fields northwest of the current discovery. I think we found the source of Syrian oil fields.
Big discoveries are expected in the short to mid-term.

  • Turkey's highest quality oil
  • Currently, 1200 barrels of oil are produced daily and transported by tankers
  • Nearly 3 million dollars was invested in the discovery and 80 billion dollars of reserves were found at the current price.
  • A total of 500 million dollars will be invested

I wonder which journalist will be the first to say that they take a pipe from the Iraqi oil pipeline and there is no oil there.

The discoveries of coal, natural gas and oil; strategic earth minerals such as REE, gold etc minerals and metalic ores in the last five-seven years have a combined economic value of well over $ trillion. What makes this even more significant is that almost all of these activities are under the control of state-owned organisations. What's more, all of the current discoveries are promising and could be just the beginning. I would also like to remind you that we have not yet started to make big moves in this sea due to the current government's hesitant attitude towards hydro carbon exploration activities in the Eastern Mediterranean for a few years.

On top of all this, there is a really important breakthrough in energy storage systems and infrastructures. Also, In terms of the momentum of renewable energy investments, we are probably the leader in the European region or we are very close to that point. If this momentum can be maintained, we can become a country that the world should take as an example in the ratio of renewable energy to total installed capacity within 10 years.

In a nutshell, in a 30-35 year projection, there will be trillions of dollars of wealth that will remain in the national economy, cumulatively. If Turkiye can utilise this resource correctly, it can move up a class. Therefore, we are at an important threshold. Unless the country faces extraordinary circumstances, it may be possible to move forward without getting stuck in the middle income trap this time.

Although we also discuss national security, geopolitics, energy and defence policy, we are fundamentally a defence industry forum. Therefore, if I need to summarise the subject in accordance with the purpose of our forum: My young brothers and sisters who dream of hundreds of KAANs, KE-ANKA-3s, nuclear-powered naval platforms, aircraft carriers etc. etc. for their country, I mean a hard power with diplomatic power on a global scale, maybe most of my generation will not see those days, but if you want to see those days, here is the driving force for you. A Turkiye that produces its own energy and strategic raw materials will be a first big flare for bright future.

What distinguishes Turkiye from traditional energy exporters is its highly developed service sectors, its industrial experience, and its everlasting determination to specialise, as like It is also a country that is part of both the east and the west, but at the same time has its own sphere of influence. There is still a very dynamic population and a skilled labour force. In other words, when you add raw materials to this, the picture is complete. Each foot will become the driving force for the other. I am very hopeful for the future of my country. I believe in both its economic and political potential. My only wish is to reach a political stability next decade that will allow us to move forward without facing an external factor that will push us into premature born and by solving our internal problems..

And to protect all that potential wealth, we must have Nukes, enough to destroy everyone on this planet.

We hit the jackpot guys.

Listen from 4:20
Chairman let it slip that Idil is in the lead for the refinery. As of this evening, land prices have doubled. lol. the face of the whole south-east will change. I think this may also be a clue as to where the exploration will be concentrated, after the post-Gabar region. If I heard correctly, he also told the location of the next two wells to be drilled.

Some countries by their oil reserves(barrel, US EIA)and their rank in the world:

1. Saudi Arabia 258bn
3. Iran 208bn
8. UAE 98bn
9. Russia 80bn
11.US 47bn
16.China 26bn
20.Norway 8bn
22.Azerbaijan 7bn
32.UK 2.5bn
33.Syria 2.5bn
37.Australia 2.4bn

Can we climb this ladder up to Norway? Is the potential there?

Reaching the threshold you point out could enable the Turkic states to become an integral element of the energy security of the EU region in a combined way. With the Russian bear on one side and the US vulture on the other, the only salvation is to understand the Turks and learn to respect their national interests. There is another issue as important as the new discoveries in Turkiye and the Turkic states. It seems that a consensus of principle has been reached with KSA and some gulf countries and the Iraq-Turkey welfare road project is being implemented. This is a historic event, we have not yet been able to go into these details due to the intensity of the election agenda. The total volume of gas and oil that can pass through TR can reach extraordinary dimensions. On the other hand, it can also lead to an extraordinary increase in the petrochemical industry and the industrial capacity.

Turkiye has also consolidated its position in North Africa and it seems that in the coming years, co-operation with Algeria on the perspective of common energy policies will increase and they will leverage each other.

They'd rather perish than to do so, TBH.

Gotta have nukes.
If one of the pillars of the EU ideal stands thanks to you, you leave no other choice. Interests speak, not ideals. I did not say that we should only be part of the West.

The main problem of the current world order is the disappearance of the Intermediate Region Power Centre. There is a vacuum in the middle of the power centres, and that is why the power struggle of the existing powers reaches its climax here. Traditionally, the centre of gravity of this centre has been the Turks. The industrial and economic breakthrough of the Turkish state in the coming decades will eliminate this vacuum. When the vacuum disappears, conditions will stabilise.

Nukes? Err, we Turks are against nuclear armament, and we have very transparent policies based on international agreements. We advocate that all countries, including the permanent members of the UNSC, abandon this capacity. But will anyone give up? No. So conditions have to be balanced at some point, especially in the context of national security safeguards. We will not determine when this will happen. If someone paves the way for this, I think we will not hesitate to walk that path, and we have the technical means to do so.

There is an offshore oil prospect in the eastern Blacksea. I don't know the area's priority or when an exploratory well will be drilled.

The next prospect area in the Gabar is the Alkemer field. Fingers crossed for another significant discovery like the Aybüke Yalçın area

The cost of drilling a deepsea well decreased to 16 to 20 million dollars due to the use of national systems (like Armelsan Kaşif) and the nationalization of materials needed for operations.

I wonder if we can export these capabilities to others... or what it will mean with regards to big oil companies.
