Most of the ummah see Turks a secular kafirs, Turks are only considered Muslim by Pakistanis and the likes when Turkey is supporting them.
I am tired of Turkey voicing unconditional support for Pakistan when Pakistan never goes to the same lengths. Turkey has supported Pakistan 100% more then Pakistan has supported Turkey. Same for other Muslim countries.
Time to look out for our own interests first, recent trend has shown us how different we are.
Finally although some of us share the same religion, our culture, world view, politics is very different. Turks have had diverse, long lasting uninterupted states whereby our political, cultural identity and understanding has developed over time into something unique to us.
Countries like Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan have never really had time out from being governed by other peoples or conflict. They are still experimenting with forming an identity hence why cling onto false identities that do not belong too them or work elsewhere in the world, Pakistan is a great example.
Hence you see the disappointment in Pakistanis online, they think they can get away with crimes simply for being Muslim "brothers" of Turks, blame Indians for "propaganda", or blame Turks for being "racist", they forget you have to learn and act like a human first to be accepted in the world.
As we all know there has been a recent crisis between Turks and Pakistanis due to some Pakistani immigrants misbehaving in Turkey and disrespecting Turkish women, culture and way of life.
Let me share a first hand exprience that i made in Istanbul three weeks ago: it was the first day of eid and all public transport was free so many people were on the road using it, the tram i was about to enter was so full that there was no chance to enter it without letting people get out first. There were two young pakistani guys who just pushed people out of their way whether they were elderly or women, no manners at all, then one man looked towards me and started ranting about refugees and government saying things like ''the government filled the country with uncivilized people'', people really have no tolerance left at all.
Here a pic of the situation:
What i noticed is that some of the Pakistanis recognize the problem and would like those events never happened but if you follow certain threads on PDF you will notice that most are offended by the critisizm from Turks, they think its only the secular fraction thats critisizing the situation, they dont seem to understand that just because Turkish women enjoy some freedoms doesnt mean its free pass to behave like an animal, Turkish women have just as much pride if not more!!!
What you do in your country is your business but if you go somewhere else then you adapt and respect the customs.
The thing is Turks and Pakistanis are fundamentally different in mentality, it starts with how the nations were founded, Turkey is built as a nation state whilst Pakistans identity is solely based on religion and everything revolves around it. A Turk puts his nation first while a Pakistani will allways put religion first.
If a Turk calls a Pakistani brother then its usually inclusive to all parts of Pakistani society, this is not necessarily the case with majority of Pakistanis, many prefer to be brothers only with the religious fraction, to them the founding father of Turkey is a kuffar and secular Turks are wanna be europeans that need to be looked down to.
In fact they believe that those who critisize Pakistani immigrants in Turkey are just secular fraction without knowing that even the religious fraction started to get tired by those shenanigans, its just was the oppositional fraction who raised their voice first but thats only one of the many misconceptions of Pakistanis regarding Turks after all. (see the disappontment of Pakistanis when ''Halime Baji'' made a victoria secret shooting)
Turks and Pakistanis might share a religion and there might be some warm feelings due to historical events but the two nations are as different as day and night, this was never a problem so far due to booth communities being far away from eachother only having an internet romance but the reality came crashing once the contact was made and people noticed how incompatible our booth lifestyles and world views are.
This poll shows why Turks would rather get along with the first 1/3 (Ottoman sphere of influence and Turkic central asia) of the list rather than the rest.
