Brother, you are completely right, syrian refugees in turkey are mostly like that and as the paper says they cause less trouble then domestic population. On the other hand those people from Afganistan are like rag tag militia without any loose, bunch of young guys from really challenged and troublesome culture background and they are problematic to handle. When Bosnia was in trouble with refugee influx, worst of them were from Afganistan, all others Arabs, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Indians, Iranians were more or less like brothers in trouble but those people were always separated and on their own agenda.
Thank you for kind words, i am aware of Bosnian diaspora success of integration (do not know better word) in any society, in Sweden they say that is best integrated ethnic group in all social segments. Frenkly i feel said about it as it is gain for those countries and loss for my own but hopefully they will maintain connections with homeland in future generations and see some reverse benefits from them as they further advance in their respective societies.

As much as I love him, he is literally saying what every politician has said, including the one's who want refugees out... There is nothing extraordinary in what he said here. And just because the neighbourhood retaliated, doesn't mean that the refugees should stay.

It's easy for people to tell citizens to calm down, to not attack Syrians and Afghans, etc. However if they were in the shoes of the people in Altindag they would join the attacks too. When your people are getting killed, your kids and women are getting raped and your finances have suffered due to millions of refugees you eventually snap. The people of Turkey have had ENOUGH.

Everything is failing and one of our only success stories, the defence industry, is being used as a political tool for Erdogan. Selcuk Bayraktar is a good man, and I hope his success continues after Erdogan goes, however you can be sure that Erdogan will continue to use his products and success for cheap propaganda points to cling on to power. In his scripted interview with CNN, he had a TB2 on a screen in an attempt to prove that he was well prepared to fight the fires...

I see it as effort to calm down things and stop vigilantism, it is good thing and no harm in it.
On the other hand all possible civil measures are welcomed to pressure goverment to provide security for citizens and deal with refugee cryse on more permament basys.

This government will never get rid of the refugees. Erdogan has sold the nation. For a few billion dollars which will go into his own pockets, he is ruining the lives of countless Turkish citizens,

They romantize the crap out of it. Nothing good in having your own home uprooted while friends and family are either dead or missing while the old life you left behind is gone for good.

Iran was able to get a native dynasty in the 1920s under the Pahlavis. Yes when the Abbassid caliphate declined the Persians did set up native dynasties but a lot of them did not last long max 100 or so years until they got taken over by the Turks completely.

Here is scientific paper which shows clear that refugees does not increase crime in country, so i hope with this heads could be cooled of after tragic incidents, new wave of refugees is not included in paper but it still shows that absolutely negative sentiment about refugees is not based on rational reasons.

Crime no doubts has gone up significantly since the syrians turned up. I've visted Turkey quite often over the years and seen the effect first hand. You used to go Turkey and would experience no danger, now it can get pretty dangerous in places that used to be quite safe.

Sad thing is mass migration always ends up with refugees living in ghettos and slums.

Refugees usually resort to crime because they barely have any opportunities they not just competing with the natives but also other refugees for jobs.

You also have language and cultural barriers. I know there are similarties between Turkey and Syria due to the centuries of Turkic rule from the Seljuks, Mamluks anf the Ottomans.

But both peoples are entirely different at the end. Not to mention Syria is diverse not just have Sunni Arabs who fled but also Alawites, Kurds, Christians and Syrian Turkmens.

There is also the case of terrorism lets not forget when Ozal took in Iraqi Kurds most of them joined the pkk.

So the refugees becoming terrorists is not a fear mongering myth its real as it has happened in the past numerous times.

Lets not forget how Armenians who left Turkey set up terrorist groups like Asala and Jcag a lot of them came from refugees.
