More important question is at what range does F35 detect the radar when radar is using that much energy. It is a deterrent but if the F35 can detect and kill your radars from several hundred kilometers that isn't enough for protection on its own. The second matter is electronic warfare, imagine enemy is using F35 alongside multiple powerful EW systems, will radar be able to resist EW while maintaining maximum detection range? But afaik, you do start needing much thicker coating to resist lower frequencies and from quoting thisanalysis [https://www.veryansintv.com/yazar/beyazit-karatas/kose-yazisi/turk-kartali-milli-muharip-ucak-1/] particularly at L band F35 is most detectable although L band will make it difficult to differentiate targets.

It has been said, Spectra's passive detection range is more twice that of APG-81's active detection range.

Obviously not. In that case radar has to burn through to see. Which will inevitably decrease its effective detection range.

Design differs from ASELSAN's AESA radar. The design could enable cost reduction.

ASELSAN's one seems more advanced.

İf they are( meteksan design) significantly cheaper, Please stick these beauties on every corner of every patrol boat and corvettes and old frigates.

I still can't believe Meteksan is not teaming up with Unirobotics or Aselsan is not upgrading SMASH/STOP with Aura, even on concepts.
They did however made a concept with multipurpose 35 mm fore cannon (with missiles) and 4 x Aura we had it in air defence thread.

That's how you would get a redundant drone hunter system complementing CIWS merely using stabilized MG.

Sorry i didn't get it. who did what?
Aura belongs to ASELSAN, doesn't it? You mean ASELSAN's GÜRZ has AURA? İ am puzzled.

EDIT: i got you after 3 times reading.

Could Meteksan's AESA design be significantly cheaper than ASELSAN's radars?
İt would be also interesting SMASH with AESA.

Anyway my wish is: Tuzla class would have 4 Retinar plus Sungur+UMTAS

Edit2 : add a synthetic aperture Sonar plus very light torpedos.

We should go L band for search however fire control remains x band. is a problem,we can solve this with multistatik radar systems

AMİR-100 Mission Data Recorder is an avionic system designed by ASELSAN to compress and record video, audio and mission data of manned and unmanned aerial systems.

Testbed????

ASELSAN MURAD AESA Radar system was integrated into Akıncı TUAV and an unnamed jet aircraft.

Tests were conducted on Akıncı and as a result of these tests, both the platform and the radar were revised.

Aselsan delivered 177 CATS to date.

Could be an F-16 that is going through Özgür modifications as well. Still great news whatever the plane might be.

I wonder if if there any more info on operational perimeter of MURAD? We know that it should be better than APG-83, Captor, RBE2 or Raven ES–05.

I wonder if it's F16 but they specifically avoid saying they did it because they fear of legal repercussions from LM and US in general, or maybe trying to promote Akıncı first?
