Those engines are not stealth so the F35 will still have some stealth advantage over the early TFX. And Hürjet is not a big deal as it is not a stealth design.

Engines don't really matter in Stealth, if they can see your 30/-30 from back, you are already done for

Republic of Korea Air Force held an official press conference during the recent showcase of KF-21 Boramae and unveiled several new information regarding the program.

1) ROKAF has OFFICIALLY ordered feasibility study to upgrade KF-21 into a "5.5th gen" fighter jet.

This is ROKAF's first acknowledgement that they're pursuing possible development of 5th gen fighter jet. If ROKAF approves of such program following its internal feasibility study, the proposed "Block III" upgrade program could commence after 2026~2028.

ROKAF could also pursue a larger aircraft based on the KF-21 platform, dubbed KF-XX, instead of Block III program. This would be a similar upgrade from legacy F/A-18 Hornet to F/A-18E Super Hornet, or F-15 Eagle to F-15E Strike Eagle.

KF-21 is currently designed to be a "+4.5th" gen fighter intended to be one of the most capable in its class with its "stealthy" low-RCS design. Being larger than the F-35, KF-21 will be significantly more capable than the latest F-16V and eventually replace F-16Us in ROKAF service.

KF-21 Block I will only feature air-to-air capability while Block II will feature ground-attack capability.

2) All 6 flying prototypes have been assembled by Korea Aerospace Industries.

According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), approximately 62% of KF-21 development program has been completed.

KF-21's maiden flight is scheduled for 4th week of July, and will last 30~40 minutes.

3) Due to global hyperinflation, initial cost of KF-21 could rise by as high as 20%. However, it is expected that cost will stabilize and that there will be no reduction of order.

4) Indonesia has yet to make any progress regarding its delayed payment. Even though negotations are continuing, KAI stated that it will NOT provide prototype aircraft to Indonesia if it doesn't meet its deadline.

This is kind of whining but this is like 4-5th of Mr.Mevlutoglu's BS answers.

I don't get how tf having serrated edges for the access hatches, canopy etc DOES NOT benefit frontal stealth but the "overall"

So from this, my best advice for now is, don't take his words for stealth technology

Actual F-X fighter jet will be powered by 2 F119-class engines, albeit smaller and lighter. It is your average heavyweight fighter, not much smaller than the MMU, capable of carrying 8 AAM missiles internally.

Wing edges and intake are treated with RAS and the wing surfaces with RAM. Yes, apart from the intake area there is no RAM on fuselage but that doesn't mean "no RAM"

KF-21 won't be a 5th gen fighter jet anyway as the aircraft could hold only 12,000lb (about 5,500kg) of fuel internally. This will severely restrict its combat radius. By contrast, F-35 is designed to carry 18,250lb (about 8,278kg) even though it is a single-engine fighter jet. This is why there is an early talk of moving to KF-XX in Korea.
