2028 can be expected to be the year Türkiye will get to 90% self reliance in technology, military and civilian.
I wonder what the revenue sheet of TAI will look like in 2027. There will be so many complete platforms by then. Any guesses on the revenue of TAI in 2027?

Wondering about that as well... I'd like to get more glimpses of the simulator. I think I noticed a new nose! Good thing that the new design is slowly starting to surface.
Hmm interesting, current one is already good, maybe they changed something with the radome?

A true stealth engine like the ones in B2 bombers have higher bypass ratios.
So RR is on the right track.

There are + and - sides of this.

+Good thrust if they use good materials for the core, can get 33-35k lbf

+Benefits IR Stealth

+Lower fuel consumption

-Slow acceleration (I don't know if this can be fixed with modifications)
-Bad high altitude performance (55-65k feet) (not much needed, so we can skip that)

Mr Temel Kotil:

“Our engines which we will use in prototypes until 2028, that we supply from GE are ready. On the other hand, our TR Motor company, which is our subsidiary, will have developed the domestic engine until 2028. TR Motor prepared the preliminary design. We are good at software. Our young engineers are achieving success with our well-equipped infrastructure. We are pretty good at fast production. We have gained significant knowledge with Hürjet which we developed in a short time with Hürkuş and his experience. We use new design techniques in our jet trainer Hürjet. With this experience, we are rapidly developing MMU. In addition, the 1.4 mach supersonic Hürjet is faster than the planes of rival companies. We have developed a 1.4 mach jet from our turboprop aircraft Hürkuş in 5 years. With these works, we will have done to the MMU with a speed of 1.8 mach"

I am all for a TRMotor developed domestic engine. It is also a matter of national pride to have such an engine other than being a matter of national security. It won't matter if a first iteration engine may not be satisfactory, we keep trying until we make it.

Temel Kotil should have stayed as the GM of Turkish Airlines where he excelled. With so many variables beyond his control, he sounds way too optimistic on TR Motor’s credentials.

Ok, we might not get shit from RR I can understand.

But wtf is TRMotor? Why not give it to TEI, which is already developing engines for other platforms?
