I did it as a last resort. Asked here 1st, nobody came through. :/I honestly don't understand why you are wasting time with these chatbots, you might as well use a magic 8 ball. It amounts same thing and has as much relevance.

Design is frozen now.Given that the KAAN's design is not frozen, is it sensible to build several more prototypes while data gained from prototype 1 testing has not yet been gathered? Perhaps there is a sense of urgency, given no clearance to export F-16 or Typhoon, so the idea is to get iKAAN developed quickly even if that raises the cost.

- KAAN AESA radar will have 2000+ GaN TRM
- 2nd KAAN prototype will have radar
- Production of two more test aircraft has started, one of which is scheduled to be ready in mid-2024.
- Flight computer and a fully functional landing gear has now been integrated into the first KAAN's airframe.
I wonder if this includes the one they have already been working on, or two new test aircrafts on top of that one. Nevertheless, great news, can't wait to see what's going to happen in 2 weeks!Production of two more test aircraft has started, one of which is scheduled to be ready in mid-2024.
While there is only a couple of weeks left to the intended first flight date what makes this media outlet make guesses instead of waiting and seeing, one wonders.Welp. Delays happen. This won't be the last one, we'll read many over the years. Kaan is literally the hardest thing we ever tried to do.
KAAN will not make it to December 27, but it will be in the skies next year
Kaan, our National Fighter Aircraft developed by TAI, the national pride of our country, successfully completed its first ground test over the weekend.
The Kaan, which Temel Kotil, the General Manager of TAI, announced that it will take to the skies on December 27, will most likely not make it to this date, but we will see our national fighter jet Kaan in the sky in February or March next year at the latest.

Flugrueve piece came out on the 8th, and not clear when was it recorded. Habertürk piece mentions weekend tests presumably from 9th and 10th. If there is a delay, it is due to these test results. We should hear more within the week.He does only mention it at the top of the article and with no source. Very reliable...
Flugrevue is quoting Temel Kotil who says, that they are on track.

Or the Kaan prototype passed the tests and they realized that Kaan was fit to fly. But at the last minute, the politicians came up with the idea of using this first flight as an election advertisement in the March 31 2024 elections! LOLIf there is a delay, it is due to these test results.
We don't know the extent of the tests, nor the reason for the delay if it is delayed. A successful test could mean lots of things. SSST directly copy pasted Flugrueve's piece from the 8th without giving credit to it. They are not a fully reliable source. Let's see what comes up.The piece from Habertürk contradicts itself, because he writes, that those ground tests were successfull.
So the first flight gets delayed because of successfull ground tests?
And how does he gets information about ground tests from last weekend but news sites like SavunmaSanayiST does not?
Lets assume he got insider information, why did he not quote his source?
Maybe he is not lying, but that piece is everything else than reliable.
If it flies on december, it will probably fly again in the next 3 months. Kotil has been touting 27 dec for months, doubt they would delay the first flight just for politipoints.Or the Kaan prototype passed the tests and they realized that Kaan was fit to fly. | He is making his own predictions guys. This geezer Bülent Aydemir is talking about his baseless prediction as if it is reality or as if someone said to him something perhaps because as you know plane paint is stripped to better accommodate tests. I don't know for sure. To me this is being an opposition troll not journalism. Making a statement like that without even referring to any unnamed sources yet delivering it as a fact. |
